I too thought he'd died years ago. I also think of Abigail's party. It was repeated recently - oh how the memories came flooding back.

Perhaps more than a bit disrespectful, but does anyone else remember a sketch (can't remember who by, could have been Kenny Everett or even the Two Ronnies!) where someone was under the kaftan with a huge set of nutcrackers?

It was Terry Wogan, wasn't it, who used to call him The Singing Frock.

I miss his show.

I remember he was on a plane which was hijacked by Hezbollah back in the eighties. The rumour was they released him after four days because he offered to sing for them.

Both Alison Steadman and Demis had a good taste in kaftans!

Both hubby and I thought he had died ages ago too.

'Ever and ever' was a favourite of ours moons agoago, when romance wasn't dead.

I think I must have thought he died when he had his previous big heart attack.
