Trevor Phillips' documentary about multiculturalism

Like Trevor Phillips, I grew up in London. And like 'his' area it was very multicultural. I still live in one, but on the coast.
He didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. But unlike him, I never changed my mind about how different races act.

Thanks for the link, ana. Good article. I didn't see the documentary. Lower down the page at the Guardian website I found this article which, not so persuasively, counters the one about Phillips. I noted, in particular, this:

"In effect, the police officer was merely pointing out where these communities live or work. And, yes, different ethnic groups will have different crimes – often due to their national history or culture – but that in no way means one ethnicity is inherently more criminal than another."

Excuse me, Joseph Harker, but did anyone say one ethnicity is more criminal than another? No, thought not. Well twisted, that man.

From what I have seen, it is all truthful.
It is hard to disagree with truths.

That aspect, and others, are covered later in the programme soontobe.

I must admit I'm surprised that there haven't been more comments.

I have now seen about half of the programme.

What hadnt occured to me before now, and perhaps should have done, is that if indeed the police go easy, for want of a better expression, on racial crime, that the non criminal people living in these areas, are missing out big time.

I have it videoed, but not seen it yet.
