Blimey O'Reilly this good!

merlotgran Sat 13-Feb-16 23:01:40

Great stuff! We enjoyed it.

Marelli Sat 13-Feb-16 23:13:11

Really enjoyed this, too. smile

Nelliemoser Sat 13-Feb-16 23:25:06

Yes, it does seem as if it will be good. Icelandic noir.

There are a lot of sub-plots already hinted at.

What's with the Chinese investment plans for the new port, and why is the Danish ferry captain being so awkward?

TerriBull Sun 14-Feb-16 10:59:00

Very good. Have been missing Scandi Noir lately, I guess Iceland qualifies as part of Scandinavia. Heavens though really can't complain about our weather having seen what they have to put up with, wrap up warm is a bit of an understatement shock

Charleygirl Sun 14-Feb-16 11:45:07

I recorded it and from the comments I am looking forward to watching it.

AyjayF Sun 14-Feb-16 12:14:46

Wish he'd do his coat up though

Rhonab Sun 14-Feb-16 12:19:50

I loved it too, as I do all the Nordic Noir stuff.
As usual, no idea what's going on with the ferry captain or the other two suspicious types.
It was so atmospheric in the snow storm that I actually felt a bit chilled myself, so heating cranked up a notch and hot chocolate by my side for next week!!!

dahlia Sun 14-Feb-16 12:46:24

But why did so many people go rushing out into the freezing snow?

Badenkate Sun 14-Feb-16 13:12:19

I agree Rhonab, it certainly made me feel cold. I'm not sure whether Iceland is on my list of places to visit or not!

rosesarered Sun 14-Feb-16 13:20:02

Recorded to watch later.I feel cold watching Shetland, and Trapped sounds even colder! brrrrr.❄️??

tanith Sun 14-Feb-16 13:55:02

I just watched it on the iplayer it was very good , OH won't watch subtitles so I'll catch up with the next episodes the same way I think. My it almost made me feel warm watching it..

soop Sun 14-Feb-16 14:53:57

Excellent!

felice Sun 14-Feb-16 15:00:27

Very good, but I so want to get my hands on those two awful little bullies, I was giving the TV a piece of my mind hmm.

grannylyn65 Sun 14-Feb-16 18:25:58

Something else I nearly missed. Thanks Grans !!?

nigglynellie Sun 14-Feb-16 18:45:10

Yes felice, aren't they just vile!! But what a cracker of a series! Mind you it was fairly obvious that the Lithuanian was going to attack the policeman and escape! Maybe he'll die of exposure in that dreadful weather!!

annodomini Sun 14-Feb-16 19:09:39

I watched the first episode and recorded the second which I am planning to watch tonight when the Baftas are on.

marshmarigold132 Sun 14-Feb-16 19:50:08

Who is coming out of the snowstorm towards the two girls? Is it the
Lithuanian or is it Hjortur the one in the fire at the beginning? Any guesses?

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 15-Feb-16 02:29:26

My guess is it is Hjothur.

We enjoyed it too, not quite as thrilling as the other Nordic Noir we've seen, but it's early days.

soop Mon 15-Feb-16 14:58:47

felice I was in tears when the wee lad was being bullied.

amberdogxK9 Mon 15-Feb-16 15:10:00

Quite agree ! The reality of bullying I suppose from 2 girls with lots of love but basically upset at their parent's break up - horrid to witness the humiliation of the little boy.

merlotgran Mon 15-Feb-16 16:10:53

I'll never complain about a British winter again. grin

whitewave Mon 15-Feb-16 16:49:02

Loved it. It is one of my DSs favourite countries? Brrrrr!

MaggieP Mon 15-Feb-16 23:13:13

Excellent. We are enjoying all the latest foreign 'thrillers' at present, its been Spin ( French) Deutchland 83 ( German) as well as Trapped this week!

Eloethan Mon 15-Feb-16 23:49:08

I've just watched it. It was pretty good but quite gloomy too. I had thought that Iceland looked quite an interesting place for a holiday but seeing it in such horrible weather isn't a great advert for it.

The girls were really spiteful to that poor little boy but I think children can sometimes behave unkindly when they feel insecure and confused themselves. Great little actors - especially the boy.
