So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

If Rob dies, Bridge Farm won't have to fork out on Helen's divorce. A good reason to dance on the kitchen table waving a bottle of Prosecco I should think.

And if he has life insurance, Jack will be in for a nice little windfall which will hopefully take care of Anna's bill.

I know it would not be true to life if it were as Helen in RL would probably have to cope with Rob being around until Jack was grown-up and possibly after that but I feel I have been wrung out enough over this now.

Timothy Watson is doing a live Q&A after tonight's episode.

I wonder if this means the storyline will be brought to a close?

Iam64 Fri 03-Feb-17 09:04:18

Yes Feedback and mentioned on various discussion groups, as well as BBC websites.

NfkDumpling Fri 03-Feb-17 07:36:04

I suspose he would be classed as an actor - Should it have been actoret? (Actorette would be a mini actress!)

I think I heard it on Feedback. They must have had letters!

merlotgran Thu 02-Feb-17 23:12:55

Where is this article? The ones I have read say the actor who plays Henry reads the lines separately.

Henry has been a major part of the storyline for two/three years. A child actor would have become familiar with the role and grown into it.

Henry sounds like a robot.

Iam64 Thu 02-Feb-17 23:02:49

No. nfkdumpling is right, Henry is played by a six year old boy who reads the lines separately from the rest of the cast.
Radio rarely does children well.
Rob has been hanging around outside school and BH cottage, that's the reason for Henry's disturbed sleep. I do hope that baby is alright, is a cold and windy night

merlotgran Thu 02-Feb-17 22:11:46

If you give a six year old child a book and ask him to read a page of it out loud he will sound like a six year old child reading a book. He might struggle with a few words but his voice will be six years old.

Henry's voice doesn't age. He is actually going backwards.

This is quite clearly an adult trying to sound like a child. It's been done before on TA. I think the actress who plays Shula used to do children's voices.

NfkDumpling Thu 02-Feb-17 22:01:30

Wasn't it on Feedback that the lad who plays Henry is six and reads the lines away from the others. That could be why he sounds wrong. He doesn't know what the plot is.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 02-Feb-17 20:31:04

He does sound younger than six merlotgran.

I don't think he knew; I expect he was just watching and waiting for an opportunity. Poor baby in the wind and rain. I know these things go on for years but I hope this is over soon - in a good way too.

AyjayF Thu 02-Feb-17 19:36:46

Bloody hell. This is serious stuff.

merlotgran Thu 02-Feb-17 19:33:57

I think this will be the end of Rob. What else can they do with his character now?

NfkDumpling Thu 02-Feb-17 19:29:14

Rob must have been watching Helen and the house for some time. He's got nothing else to do. Oh, the thought of being watched and spied on!

merlotgran Thu 02-Feb-17 19:26:35

So how did Rob know Helen was going to leave Henry and Jack in the car?

Henry might have been primed to leave a book in the house but he seemed really surprised to see Rob.

As six year olds go he's spectacularly dim and he really should see a speech therapist.

Nelliemoser Thu 02-Feb-17 19:25:46

Well! Thats my worst case scenario gone down the pan. grin
I hope they catch Rob soon,

Lazigirl Thu 02-Feb-17 10:53:19

Yes. At first I thought ex girlfriend was having a baby.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 02-Feb-17 10:51:10

What about Toby's story? I still feel there is a child in Brighton although nothing to hang that on.

Lazigirl Thu 02-Feb-17 10:11:18

I wonder if he still has the gun?
To continue with your lighter note Eirel - fur coat and no knickers!

NfkDumpling Thu 02-Feb-17 07:22:01

I wonder if he'll turn up at the next Jack contact session? Perhaps that's when the surprise will happen, it must be due soon.

NfkDumpling Thu 02-Feb-17 07:20:51

I thought the SW would have left us in suspense longer before Rob re-appeared. Given us time to forget him and then spring him back on us. I think Rob saying he might be going away for a long time means suicide. I don't think he would consider the possibility of going to prison.

Elrel Thu 02-Feb-17 00:42:39

This can't go well, oh dear.
On a lighter level, Lilian and Justin, how old are you?! Boy? Girl?I don't think so! Love Lil hiding in the bushes in her fur coat and oversized wellies!!

GracesGranMK2 Thu 02-Feb-17 00:36:33

I agree that this is a totally possible outcome of the situation in RL Nellie but I have to hope that more attempts at this sort of thing happen than actually succeed. Maybe this will be one of those.

Nelliemoser Wed 01-Feb-17 23:15:41

In the worst case scenario there have been many cases of fathers who have killed themselves and the children when in situations like this.

Rob said to Henry about giving mummy a surprise and then going away for a very long time. (To prison?)
In which case I feel he might be going to try to do something like trying to kill Helen or/and the children.

He would not be likely to get a very long sentence just for abducting them and Rob is not stupid.

If he is of a mind to get revenge on Helen he could do it more effectively by killing the boys or someone else in her family and thereby further punishing Helen who will have to live with the consequences for evermore.
After all as far as Rob is concerned none of this is his doing it's all Helen's family's fault for what they have done to him.

It really is a question of what route the script writers want or dare to take and how much mayhem the Beeb will allow. Very nasty I know, but unfortunately it happens.

Chewbacca Wed 01-Feb-17 22:42:23

Apologies for a bit of a derail here but, I checked out of TA for a few months and missed quite a chunk. I never found out what happened about Jess's baby? Did they ever reveal why the DNA test proved that Rob couldn’t be the father? Did he get someone else to do that for him and is so, who? Or is that a plot line still to be revealed? Other than this, I'm up to date! Anyone help?
