Call me old fashioned but honestly, speaking to your mid eighty aged grandmother in that tone at the age of 23, beyond anything reasonable. Shocking, self indulgent and thoroughly unpleasant. If I didn't have better self restraint, I'd say Pip needs good shaking. That can be done without using physical violence, David or Ruth need to have a calm, sensitive and clear discussion with Pip about the need to respect and show love and acceptance towards her elderly gran.
