This looks good, maybe similar to Keeping Faith. The English version starts on BBC4 this Saturday at 9pm

Thanks for the heads up seacliff

Thank you SEACLIFF
I will look out for it.
Fingers crossed - hoping it's as good as Keeping Faith smile

smile Cherrytree ..... let's hope it's a good one with a proper ending.

I like these tv recommendations , just caught up with Countryfile at Balmoral. Thanks to whoever put that on. Stunning scenery, we went there several years ago, so beautiful.

seacliff Fri 08-Jun-18 20:14:36

Just to let you know, episode 1 is now available on Catch Up player BBC. I'm just about to watch it.

NanKate Fri 08-Jun-18 20:50:26

Hi Seacliff I put on the recommendation for Balmoral because I was just blown away by the scenery.

Now thanks to you I will be watching Hidden. I too loved Keeping Faith.

seacliff Fri 08-Jun-18 21:05:09

Thanks for that suggestion Nankate. I have visited the Balmoral area once, it is stunning isn't it.

I'll be interested in what everyone thinks abut Hidden.

Anniebach Fri 08-Jun-18 21:43:53

I watched the first episode on Wednesday, there must be two threads because I replied in the week

Only BBCWales on Wed Annie. I thought some scenes were a bit dark and I put the subtitles on in case they mumbled. Looks like it will be complicated.

seacliff Fri 08-Jun-18 22:20:25

Yes, I wasn't immediately gripped, as with Keeping Faith. We'll have to see how it goes.

Anniebach Fri 08-Jun-18 22:22:04

I thought the North Wales scenery was beautiful Welshwife. I will not watch the rest of the series, purely for emotional reasons, a name of one of the characters is the shortened version of the name of my elder daughter , not heard in the South but in the North, it did throw me , it is rarely heard

NanKate Fri 08-Jun-18 22:24:03

It seemed a bit more like Hinterland than Keeping Faith. Rather dark and scary.

NanKate Fri 08-Jun-18 22:25:10

Sorry you were upset by the programme Anniebach

Anniebach Fri 08-Jun-18 22:25:29

Very much like Hinterland NanKate

Anniebach Fri 08-Jun-18 22:28:12

It just threw me NanKate , watch a lot of Welsh drama but the use of Cadi isn’t used for some reason, it is in the North

I`m afraid we gave up halfway through the first episode, despite the beautiful scenery it just wasn`t grabbing us. A shame, because I love N.Wales and Snowdonia.

BlueBelle Wed 13-Jun-18 18:42:42

I watched the first episode and thoroughly enjoyed it missed second episode as was away for the weekend went to watch it on iPad but it’s not available Anybody got any clues as to why ?

oldbatty Wed 13-Jun-18 20:13:59

the scenery was stunning. I'm sorry but the old chestnut of " we've found the mutilated body of an attractive young girl" thing has been dome to death hasnt it/

I question the level of violence and degradation we watch as entertainment. Whats is doing to us?

maryeliza54 Wed 13-Jun-18 23:14:27

BB just went on IPlayer and episode 2 is now there

NanKate Wed 13-Jun-18 23:52:48

I can perfectly understand Annie how you were thrown and unable to watch. I can never watch series where young children are abducted or murdered, since I have two grandsons of my own.

BlueBelle Thu 14-Jun-18 05:09:10

Oh thanks so much for the heads up I m used to them normally being straight on maybe cos it’s welsh tv ??

TerriBull Thu 14-Jun-18 08:46:19

Caught up with it the other night, scenery stunning, it's very much in the Scandi style, quite dark, nevertheless it drew me in, although I have to say I think I prefer the much lauded "Keeping Faith" which had some lighter moments especially around the family's life. Looking forward to a second series of that.

I will wait to see how this one develops. I hear Welsh dramas set a high standard, although I did think that when the first of the Scandinavian series reached our shores, "The Killing", The Bridge" and "Borgen" very good, but inevitably we have got some that have not been of the same standard.

Sorry it plays on your emotions Annie flowers
