Did anyone watch this last night? I thought it was really good, amazing to think it’s a true story.

I saw Ruth Wilson talking about this series on tv a few days ago. I was looking forward to it. Watched the first episode this afternoon.
I believe the intrigue deepens, as more of Alex's life is uncovered.

Yes just finished watching it now. Looks like another "wife" is about to be revealed. Enjoyable watch.

giving it a bump
the star is the grand daughter of alison wilson
he had at least 4 wives

GrannyGravy13 Wed 28-Nov-18 15:14:50

I enjoyed it.

Willynilly Wed 28-Nov-18 15:15:16

Thanks mimiro I was hoping to watch the episodes unfold! hmm

Niobe Wed 28-Nov-18 15:17:34

I watched it and was engrossed in the story. Have always enjoyed anything Ruth Wilson has done.

merlotgran Wed 28-Nov-18 15:24:39

This is right up my street. Looking forward to the next episode.

Brilliant and mysterious. Can't wait for the next episode.

ginny Wed 28-Nov-18 16:19:07

Oh mimiro you didn’t stop to think then did you ?

Jane10 Wed 28-Nov-18 16:20:34

I'm recording the series as I'd rather watch it all at once. Dratted spoiler alert though!

TerriBull Wed 28-Nov-18 16:38:16

Caught up with it on IPlayer, it's excellent, as is Ruth Wilson playing her actual grandmother. Looking forward to the next part.

BlueBelle Wed 28-Nov-18 16:38:51

That wasn’t very clever mimiro
I totally enjoyed it last night really good and was hoping things would unfold over the weeks but now we nearly know the end ?

merlotgran Wed 28-Nov-18 16:47:08

mimiro, You might like to ask HQ to delete your post because it really is a massive spoiler.

ninathenana Wed 28-Nov-18 16:49:21

She did revealed in a TV interview a week or so ago that he had multiple wives.
Not good to read spoilers though.

ninathenana Wed 28-Nov-18 16:49:47

Loved it BTW

Luckygirl Wed 28-Nov-18 17:01:36

Which channel is it on?

travelsafar Wed 28-Nov-18 17:02:08

Intriguing to say the least.

Lisagran Wed 28-Nov-18 17:02:34

BBC1

eazybee Wed 28-Nov-18 17:09:55

Thoroughly enjoyable; no special effects, mainly clear, well-spoken dialogue and a tantalising story unfolding; watched it without losing attention once.

sodapop Wed 28-Nov-18 17:24:16

Very interesting story especially as it was based on historical events. It must have been quite odd for Ruth Wilson to be playing the part of her grandmother. I am looking forward to the next two episodes, ( despite the spoiler)

Labaik Wed 28-Nov-18 17:30:46

To be fair to mimiro the series has been widely publicised, both in the press and on tv, and in all instances the true story has been widely discussed.

Buffybee Wed 28-Nov-18 18:10:16

Loved the ending, "Who's Dorothy" ?
What a shock though really....... can you imagine?

petra Wed 28-Nov-18 21:14:34

Mimiro
Thanks for 'spoiling' it for people who have recorded the programme angry

Mapleleaf Wed 28-Nov-18 21:42:17

I enjoyed the first episode, looking forward to seeing the rest. I agree with Labaik, the series has been widely publicised and discussed so I don't think Mimiro was giving more away than has been discussed.
