I'm starting this new thread as apparently our other one was over a year old!! shock

We'll have to do more gossiping to prevent this happening again.

Here's a link to the old one.

However.....I can't wait for Nocasha to hear the news. How many unrealistic projects will she dream up before Pat reminds her it's Bridge Farm in the running and she's a mere newcomer.

Peggy is one of my least favourite characters. She exerts control over her large family with her seemingly bottomless pit of money and now she's adding Brookfield into the equation.

If I remember correctly, Helen is set to inherit The Lodge when Peggy dies as Peggy wanted to ensure she and Henry would always have a roof over their heads. This was before Jack was born. Will Kate then be a sitting tenant or will Peggy change her will again?

No wonder Tony is gnashing his teeth.

I missed it last night, what had happened?

Lazigirl Sat 15-Jun-19 14:00:00

Peggy's gesture seems contrived by the BBC as their contribution to the climate debate by appropriating Peggy's birthday? Half a million quid is bound to cause division in the Archer clan.

mumofmadboys Sat 15-Jun-19 13:12:18

It sounded very stilted her announcement as if it was being read out

AyjayF Sat 15-Jun-19 13:09:06

I agree with Tony. Peggy is playing mind games + pitting family members against each other -- again.
Just give them the money or give it to an environmental charity!

I loved what June Spencer Aka Peggy said "If I close my eyes I can be any age". So true, think as we age many of us will feel the same. We don't really age inside, it's just the body that lets us down sad

Amazing to think Peggy is 100. She sounds so bright and much younger. Long may she carry on. Congratulations to her.

On a worrying note it looks like the Grundy family are in for another load of trouble. Seems to be their lot in life. What with Joe, Will and Ed. Poor long suffering Clarrie.

Ooh. What is young Leonard up to?

merlotgran Tue 11-Jun-19 18:44:35

Just seen June Spencer on the evening news. She looks amazing for 100. So glad she's not retiring yet.

He panicked after being told that his piano teacher was there, so I wondered whether he had made a pass at her or made a fool of himself somehow.

chelseababy Tue 11-Jun-19 13:50:45

Anyone got a theory about Jim? Why did he rush off from the party? Was it one of the guests dug up by Alastair and Fiona???

Craftycat Tue 11-Jun-19 13:11:20

Heard June Spencer on radio 4 this morning. What a lovely lady!
I am dreading them writing Joe out -I know I will shed a tear.
I remember my Mum sobbing when the fire in the barn killed off Phil's first young wife. I was 2 so it made a big impression. I did not know why she was crying at the time but I joined in & she told me in later years about it.

shysal Tue 11-Jun-19 12:23:38

Yes, eGJ, I was just reading about her in my new Radio Times. She looks amazing!

eGJ Tue 11-Jun-19 11:23:48

Poor Ed and Emmer it is all beginning to unravel.

merlotgran Sat 08-Jun-19 09:37:01

Has Ed been paying his ill gotten gains into the bank or is it under the bed?

Merelina Sat 08-Jun-19 09:15:04

Not can I. Enjoyed Jim’s hurried departure. Some fun to be had there. Murky past to be revealed

eGJ Wed 05-Jun-19 19:17:31

Oh Ed! I can’t bear itsad

eGJ Wed 05-Jun-19 17:58:16

No Nocasha in next week's cast ……………...is Open Farm Sunday going to happen without her grin? However, RT states that Linda is going to make her mark that day (just supposing she manages to survive Jim's birthday bash!!) Is Peggy about to join Chris at The Laurels to make sure Jennifer & Brian can move away and give their neighbours a little peace? GransNetters are better scriptwriters I reckon!! grin Any new ideas???

phoenix Mon 03-Jun-19 19:11:53

A fine example of the "Snell Sniff" tonight! grin

shysal Sun 02-Jun-19 16:15:40

I was also thinking about Jazzer for skin cancer.
