I've found another new drama, in my attempts to take my mind off other depressing events!! I enjoyed it, so far.

In the words of the BBC "The Capture is a six-part thriller that looks at a troubling world of fake news and the extraordinary capabilities of the intelligence services. In this ‘post-truth era’, can we really believe what we see?"

Both DJ and I loved it!!

That will be dh - who is not a DJ as far as I am aware!

We enjoyed it too and for a change when the soldier was arrested, he didn't say No comment a hundred times over. So in my book that means he must be innocent! smile

Oh yes edge of the seat will be watching this one.

Definitely a cut above some of these drama series.

Yes, as he left the bar, there was a van in the shadows, seemed to be watching him. Interesting.

Watched this last night on catch up. I am intrigued to find out what happens.

Have been away so catching up with the couple of programmes . The two that are really worth watching at the moment for me are the Martin Freeman one on Mondays and this one, both riveting and equally good.

We’re really enjoying it too. It’s quite intriguing. Do we believe what we saw with our own eyes or is technology fooling us.? Can’t wait for the next episode.

fizzers Sat 07-Sep-19 10:23:10

I can't wait to see how this unfolds

oldgimmer1 Sat 07-Sep-19 11:41:29

A very good drama. It kept my interest and I will keep on watching.

We enjoyed it too!

Watched the first two episodes this evening, and thought it was good, although I don't find the female detective leading the case very believable ( at all!)
It does make you think about the fact that in towns and cities
There is so much cctv, but then if you’re not behaving badly or a criminal, there’s nothing to worry about, and in the event of mistaken identity, would be useful for showing that you were actually somewhere else at the time.

It's intriguing. I just can't work out how two different sets of people see the same scene very differently.

I hope this drama doesn't go the way of Bodyguard which, though enjoyable, became increasingly silly.

Grannyknot Thu 12-Sep-19 07:54:01

I think someone has fiddled with the CCTV film, Photoshopped it or similar ... for why, remains to be seen.

travelsafar Wed 18-Sep-19 06:48:23

Just loving this series it certainly makes you think about what could be happening that we know nothing about!!!!

LullyDully Wed 18-Sep-19 07:51:46

It is intriguing certainly and the music keeps me on edge. I did go out during the" fingers" scene as it made me very anxious.

Is the friend involved more than is evident?

Nandalot Wed 18-Sep-19 07:58:31

Very topical. Campaign against the use of live facial recognition going on at the moment.

I feel it is not a problem if you are doing nothing wrong. However, if it is true it can be tampered with so successfully , then that is a problem.

I am enjoying this. Probably got no chance of understanding it though.

The rabbit/duck thing was very good.

I don't understand why they didn't check that the camera over the front door of the house was, truly, a dummy. Would they really just take the man's word for it? How did they know the chap who answered the door wasn't in on it?

Sad that the woman really is dead.
