It’s just started and I’m liking it straightaway! Stellar cast. Imelda Staunton (love her). Francesca Anuns.

The series follows three adult siblings – Helen, Jake and Natalie – whose lives are thrown into disarray when their recently widowed mum Vivien declares she’s fallen for a new man, retired GP Mark.

As Vivien nears her 70th birthday, her children grow suspicious when Mark begins to shift her priorities away from her family.

Gorgeous location see the photo!

Doesn’t re-marriage invalidate a will? Is that why you have to make a new one pronto? So if she died , he would be her next-of-kin, along with her children?
As you can tell, no experience of this, thank goodness!

We are all getting very involved with this, but I have a horrible feeling it will turn out a dead duck like the David Tennant one.
Hope I’m mistaken.

Agree with you Curly that Mary pinched the Viagra to spoil Mark’s holiday expectations. She didn’t take them herself, was just curious about them having read up on them.

I didn’t watch the David Tennant drama Calendargirl but this one is now halfway through and is still enjoyable!

HurdyGurdy Wed 26-Feb-20 14:35:26

And another thing . . . . .LOL

The police have only been shown interviewing Mary, and the youngest daughter, Natalie. Not anyone else.

Is THAT significant? Did they interview anyone else in the family, but only Natalie is being shown?

Mark wouldn’t get all her money if there were no will and she died ( and vice versa) it’s upto a certain amount and then shared with remaining spouse and children.

BlueBelle Wed 26-Feb-20 16:00:59

Oh I thought the person in hospital was the same as the body bag just a different day/week
I think the dr is in the body bag so if there’s two could the person in hospital be the mum
Were they both targeted
I like it when it’s all in one week not enough time for me to forget the plot ?

tanith Wed 26-Feb-20 16:29:57

In the scheme of things trivia I know but I believe if you are a widow/widower you have to present the original death certificate of the spouse and if divorced the marriage cert and decree absolute to marry in Gibraltar also birth certificates and passport. The doc must of planned well to find all of those and then still convince her the wedding was her idea. ?

Calendargirl Wed 26-Feb-20 16:38:26

Urmstongran

It was the last episode of the David Tennant one where it all fell apart. We were all on tenterhooks, but talk about a damp squib!

You missed nothing.

suziewoozie Wed 26-Feb-20 16:41:43

tanith you are so right plus you must give evidence that you spent the night before or after the wedding in Gibraltar. ( apparently Viagra pills fortunately are not compulsory ?). I get annoyed when really important basic facts like this are ignored.

soop Wed 26-Feb-20 16:56:51

jolbrook I am such an innocent. I thought that they were contraceptive pills. Mind you...

suziewoozie Wed 26-Feb-20 16:59:12

soop she’s nearly 70 ?

soop Wed 26-Feb-20 17:00:28

I shall return tomorrow for more debating on who's who, who did what and why. wink

soop Wed 26-Feb-20 17:01:10

suziewoozie As I said, I'm a slow learner. grin

eazybee Wed 26-Feb-20 17:05:05

Completely irrelevant, but do people have houses with three bedrooms belonging to adult children, long left home, full of their stuff? (or perhaps it's all in the attic?)

Callistemon Wed 26-Feb-20 17:19:42

I think some do eazybee

Callistemon Wed 26-Feb-20 17:25:49

soop grin
Now, that would make a story!

HurdyGurdy perhaps there are more body bags to bring out. Perhaps younger daughter and Mary are the only ones left.

The younger daughter and Mary cooked it all up between them because the younger daughter's lover stayed with his wife, she had no job, no home and wanted a nice house where she can bring up her baby with useful next door neighbour happy to be nanny.
All three lived happily ever after
The end.

Urmstongran Wed 26-Feb-20 18:37:40

Loving the detail tanith.
?
That would spoil a good story though!

tanith Wed 26-Feb-20 18:49:26

I only know Urmstongran because I have family living there and had occasion to look at what was required ?

suziewoozie Wed 26-Feb-20 18:54:47

I’m now watching this as it’s become ‘it’s so awful, its funny’. I’m with Team Mary. I hope there’s another sex therapy session. And isn’t the house lovely?

Callistemon Wed 26-Feb-20 18:56:02

That's why younger daughter wants it and did them all in.
Except Mary who will be nanny/childminder

BlueBelle Wed 26-Feb-20 19:02:08

Yes I do eazybee a big old Victorian house which it worth very little on the market now with four attic rooms and lots of my kids and grandkids still ‘stuff’ in it

hulahoop Wed 26-Feb-20 19:04:07

Calandergirl I thought that as well I think it's a bit drawn out like a lot of these 4night series

Calendargirl Wed 26-Feb-20 21:17:34

Tonight’s episode;

“I’ve dated several women over the last five years”

Really? They must have been desperate.
Bb
And I lock the door if I take a shower!

Calendargirl Wed 26-Feb-20 21:30:00

Bb???

BlueBelle Wed 26-Feb-20 22:00:27

Well any clearer ?
