Such cruel remarks. I thought it was nice to see the old maestro perform some of his work. I personally preferred Lennon or George Harrison.

I was just a few years too young for Beatles, but love their songs, when one of my grandsons was 3, we were in the car and he asked to put Lady Banana on…..that title has now stuck.

Totally agree with Grandma70's comments. I don't find him very impressive now, though I was completely in love with him when I was a teenager.

I watched it yesterday and loved it.
I was always puzzled about Get Back - who is JoJo? Do you think it could be John Lennon? But I don't think Paul wrote it by himself?
It was great on the rooftop concert and that song was cut out from the recordings later by copyright owners.

The rooftop concert will be shown in full on Thurs/Fri/Sat on Disney+ and I can't wait.

I love Paul and having been born in Liverpool, with the Beatles I am very proud of what he has done for the City, which he never forgets, he is often there visiting his "fame" School and has donated a lot of money for various things in Liverpool.
I agree with the OP he is far better now he doesnt die his hair, but his voice isnt as good any more.
He and I will never forget our wonderful home town Liverpool.

I completely agree, he is the only Beatle who has done anything for his home town.

JoJo is widely believed to be Linda McCartney’s first husband Joe. He lived in Arizona and the lyrics refer to JoJo leaving his home in Tucson Arizona for some California grass. The property in Tucson was given to Linda after their divorce and it was there that she sadly died.

A few years ago,my daughter was working on the Eurostar train, serving drinks. She entered one carriage with a coffee and saw the customer was Paul McCartney! She was so shocked, she gasped "Hi!" And spilled the coffee all over his coat which was on the seat. He jumped up, helped her wipe it off, saying "Don't worry, love, this coat is nearly as old as me! " Our family have loved him ever since!

If you watch the new series you will see film of how the song was developed - by Paul.

I've just posted a review of The Beatles: Get Back on the other thread. Amazing!
