Tonight on BBC2. William and Harry’s relationship with the press. Two episodes, tonight’s starts with the Diamond Jubilee and ends with Harry’s wedding.

Episode 2 might be more interesting, after the ‘split’.

I'll take the lines please. wink

Actually I did question myself even though I knew nothing about Hislop and his views on Scotland. I'm responsible for an elderly aunt with dementia, very advanced, and I'm getting paranoid about forgetting things. I even had a nightmare about it the other night. I woke up in a real state about it.

I've actually got a good memory for most things except names, never been good with names so that isn't dementia, or so I keep telling myself.

Maybe the power of positive thoughts? Worriedwell has not got dementia. Ten times should do it.

I was thinking Alegrias should learn to read posters names properly

Harry seems really happy with Meghan and his little family. Can't we just wish them well and stop obsessing about them?

I’d love to do that but why, oh why, do they carry on with their complaints and law suits. If they want peace, can’t they just stay schtumm? Merit is sexist and demeaning, Sussexit is less so? For goodness sake!

It's not easy, is it grandMattie as they are constantly wanting to be in the limelight.

"Look at me, look at me"

"Oh dear, this is awful, the Press and public keep looking at me!"

I watched it half-heartedly (whilst doing something else) and did wonder how often Amol would put on an 'Oprah face'.

His jaw didn't drop quite as far as hers in her well-rehearsed reactions but often enough to notice that this wasn't a totally unbiased programme.

shock

I can't stand him Calistemon, well actually that's ok because I'm usually sitting on the sofa, not standing!

He is so rude the way he just chucked the newspapers under the writers' noses with disdain, especially Camilla Tominey.
And all that horrible bling! Thinks very highly of himself.

I've always found him rather annoying because he gabbled so fast and 'swallowed the ends of his words' when he was reporting on media, entertainment, events etc. So I'd be shouting at the screen "Just slow up a bit, will you!"

Last comment was to Josianne, btw.

I may have missed some of the conversation sad as we've been out out.

I was thinking ^Alegrias should learn to read posters names properly^

I suppose it depends if you not reading posters names properly scares you as much as thinking I've got dementia scares me. Probably hard to decide really.

Do you have nightmares about it?

Alegrias1 Tue 30-Nov-21 16:05:02

No I don't, fair enough theworriedwell wink

And now Scene 325, enter stage left yet another buffoon with his offering. Yes, you've guessed it, Trump saying Meghan disrespected the Queen! The whole thing is a farce.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 01-Dec-21 08:08:04

I’m not surprised if Harry and Meghan want to sue various media organisations. Does anyone else remember how Kate Cambridge was treated for nearly 10 years right up to her wedding. Waity Kaity etc., and the flack her mother got too. Then, during each pregnancy, more c**p from the media because she was so ill. But she didn’t sue. I look at her now and think she is underweight and beautifully dressed. Was she advised just to keep quiet. Who knows. Now Meghan is made of different stuff and wants to call out those printing untruths about her and Harry. And now the dreaded trump has waded in. What an odious little man. Words fail me.

Anniebach Wed 01-Dec-21 08:15:23

Yes Megan sued the Mail, won the case, then was found to have
lied, or forgot the truth !

Josianne Wed 01-Dec-21 08:15:45

All these waders in, journalists and opticians alike, are only doing it to promote themselves anyway.

Alegrias1 Wed 01-Dec-21 08:29:32

Are the opticians involved now? Will this never end?

Sorry Josianne ? ?

Josianne Wed 01-Dec-21 08:36:43

grin oops!
they might as well be Alegrias!

Josianne Wed 01-Dec-21 08:38:38

Just to clarify that was meant to be politicians! I'm off to Specsavers!

Josianne Wed 01-Dec-21 09:03:23

I think he needs to come along with me too. Exit stage right.
Next scene, At the Opticians. Do they have Rose coloured glass?

Deedaa Wed 01-Dec-21 20:51:46

Josiane criticism comes well from Trump - the man who kept pushing in front of the Queen.
