For me it's Anything Goes, a recording of the West End show with Robert Lindsay and Felicity Kendal. BBC2, Boxing Day.

We went to see that at the cinema last week, it was amazing! Looking forward to watching it again.

Carols from King’s

Call the Midwife

All Creatures Great and Small

Schubert’s Winterreise (Winter Journey), sung by Benjamin Appl on BBC4, Christmas Day. This is real luxury.

Worzel Gummidge and the Ghosts Christmas Special with Jennifer Saunders.

I was wishing today that there would be a Christmas one off special of The Coroner. I felt it ended with unfinished business and I'd love to know how it ends. (so long as it's happily!)

This thread is better than the Radio Times ?

When I get my TV guide in the Telegraph tomorrow, I shall look through it and say to DH “Well, there’s nothing much I want to watch”.

Not like years ago, 50 or more, when ‘new’ films, only 3 or 4 years old!, were shown at Christmas on tv for the first time.

How exciting it seemed, and something to really look forward to.

Nowadays……

How I agree Ro we used to have to order the Christmas TV times and Radio Times and found lots to watch . There is nothing I am looking forward to seeing this year at all and I so wish there was as Christmas looks like it will be cancelled for us .

Pantglas2 Fri 17-Dec-21 21:28:16

Got a RT at the airport and have marked British Scandal as one to watch but whatever I miss I’ll get on catch up so let me know your selections.

aonk Fri 17-Dec-21 22:49:06

I totally agree about Anything Goes. I was lucky enough to see it on stage in October and it’s marvellous!
Also Call the Midwife, Christmas Strictly and the Duchess of Cambridge’s Carol service at Westminster Abbey on Christmas Eve.
