Leo is Jenny's boyfriend. He's not very memorable, is he? And how did he get the job of sorting out David's sink hole again? I thought he was actually out of a job until he got to Canada.

Aveline Thu 22-Sept-22 17:08:09

Leo's an engineer so probably well able to check the sink hole.

BlueBelle Fri 23-Sept-22 20:28:20

Oh no I didn’t see that coming ohhhhhhh

BlueBelle Fri 23-Sept-22 21:29:31

Am I the only one watching Corrie ? ?

I watched it.....
Shame Kelly left....
Evelyn is brilliant..... but how did they manage to phone the lady wearing the red anorak? so quickly !!
Poor Ahldi ( or however his name is spelt ?)
.... and I have to say I am fed up to back teeth of the Stephen storyline.

Ohhhh and i loath Gail Tilsley,Platt, McSomething and alllll the rest grrrrrrrr

Believe it or not .... I love it !!! Haaaaaa

I wonder Gary hasn't had a compete melt down - following on from his military service PTSD he has been on a rollercoaster of terror at being discovered since he killed Kelly's father, been beated up , abducted, and in the last two days almost killed yet again, during which time he had to dig his own grave, offered to be shot on Kelly's behalf and spent some hours awaiting that knock on the door to finally face the music. Once again he is reprieved - he must be made of strong stuff.

No, I was out and had to stay up to watch it when I got home grin.

Poor Aadi - it was obvious he was going to get hurt, but at least he lived to tell the tale. I hope he finds love soon, and that they do something a bit more interesting with his character. He's a good actor, and deserves better storylines.

I agree that Gary's been through the mill. He's quite likeable now - at one time he was horrible, wasn't he?

BlueBelle Sat 24-Sept-22 06:18:05

Oh Doodlebug I can’t stand Gary never have (he’s just been taken over by Stephen) but he’s still up there ? didn’t like his role with Kelly either
I don’t think Aadi will get over Kelly very quickly but it is La la land so he may be a shop owner with a wife and child in a few months time ??? I agree he’s a good actor and a nice character which is surprising with a father like Dev

Charleygirl5 Sat 24-Sept-22 10:44:53

I must have blinked because I did not see Aadi get shot and I have not worked out how it happened at the fellow was so close to Kelly even I could not have missed and I am partially sighted.

I wish somebody would remove Stephen, his ex-wife and Leo as I cannot stand him either, so wooden. Apart from that, I enjoy the show!!!

Devorgilla Sat 24-Sept-22 17:41:14

I watched it. I felt it would be Aadi who got shot but glad he is still in it. I assume at some point Kelly will return and cause havoc. I like Gary so I am pleased he is still in it. It will be interesting to see how his role plays out in later episodes.
What is Leo up to asking about Audrey's house? If he is swanning off to Canada tomorrow it seems pointless. Unless....it is LaLa land.

CatsCatsCats Sat 24-Sept-22 17:47:50

Dev - I'm either laughing at his antics, or cringing at them. He's so OTT as to be enjoyable.

I thought the acting from all those in the Kelly storyline last week was better than average.

Does anybody else think there might be a romance brewing between Evelyn and Roy?

Doodledog Sat 24-Sept-22 18:10:41

I wondered that. Thinking about it, they wouldn't be badly suited (or they wouldn't spoil two houses, depending on your point of view grin).

sodapop Sat 24-Sept-22 18:12:26

Don't know if I missed something vital but I don't understand why the two villains decided to murder Kelly& Gary after Kelly changed her mind.

Doodledog Sat 24-Sept-22 18:16:39

Just because they were villainous, I think. They had Kelly's money, and with her dead there would be no-one left to testify against them.

Tbh, I don't tend to follow the gangster-type plots too closely, though. I like Corrie for being a domestic drama - the ordinary lives of ordinary people - and I know absolutely no-one who is even on the fridges of gangland, despite what soaps seem to believe is going on round every corner.

CatsCatsCats Sun 25-Sept-22 10:13:57

Very true, Doodledog. I'm not too sure there's a lot of miscarriages of justice going on either, but I am enjoying the Stu storyline (just because I think he's very attractive wink)

Charleygirl5 Sun 25-Sept-22 10:48:11

Devorgilla My understanding is that Leo is trying to get evidence that Stephen is telling lies about visiting the house as he wants Audrey's money. The sooner Stephen has gone the happier I will be. He is a pain, somebody who cannot act but he does have company there on Corrie.

Doodledog Sun 25-Sept-22 11:24:21

He is, but it's not very clear why. Leo has no connection with Audrey, and no beef with Stephen, as far as I know, yet he's going all out to catch him doing something wrong. He has a motive now that he's heard about what happened with Jennie, but he only found that out recently.

Regardless of how believable it all is, if he gets rid of Stephen, I'm all for it.

Charleygirl5 Sun 25-Sept-22 12:38:09

I agree and it cannot happen soon enough.

sodapop Sun 25-Sept-22 12:54:23

Thanks Doodledog thought I had missed something significant.

I agree with everyone else about Stephen, he is a pain and a dreadful actor.

Absolute hear, hear.

Can't do with Stephen, can't so with Gail either but that a different story grrrrrr.

angry

vegansrock Mon 26-Sept-22 06:11:47

How come Stephen has a Canadian (?) accent when he is Audreys son and lives in Italy? It looks like they are lining up a relationship with Roy and Evelyn, but I somehow don’t see romance getting off the ground. Is there an episode where they don’t use the hospital set?

vegansrock Mon 26-Sept-22 07:05:12

Which character hasn’t ended up in hospital recently ?

Ilovecheese Mon 26-Sept-22 09:25:17

I don't understand why people are fond of Evelyn. I think she is really unpleasant. Love Dev though, and Aadi.

nightowl Mon 26-Sept-22 09:51:20

Thank you ilovecheese I thought I was the only one. Blanche could be very cutting but she had warmth and was funny. Evelyn is a poor replacement, on both counts.

Grannynannywanny Mon 26-Sept-22 10:01:34

I think there’s an endearing “softness” to Evelyn below the surface that we occasionally see eg when she surprised Roy with the birthday cake and candle. Also in some of her interactions with Tyrone and Fiz. It’s there but she doesn’t like to show it too often !
