New crime drama on ITV tonight, 8pm, starring Adrian (Ted Hastings) Dunbar.

My TV guide describes it as ‘a cosy Sunday-night crime drama in the vein of Vera’, in a windswept Northern setting.

Think I’ll watch it, and catch up on ‘The Capture’ on BBC1 later.

I’m going to give it a go.

I was thinking of doing the same Calendargirl. Good interview with Adrian Dunbar and his co-star, Bronagh Waugh, on Friday's One Show.

Aveline Sun 28-Aug-22 18:12:56

I'm looking forward to it

Smileless2012 Sun 28-Aug-22 18:15:39

Should be good, I love Vera.

Sparklefizz Sun 28-Aug-22 18:22:09

I'm looking forward to it. We need some decent TV drama.

Yes, this summer has been dreadful, nothing but repeats and cheapo reality shows.
I know summer is a traditionally a dead time for TV but the barrels were well and truly scraped to the bottom.

I like two hour crime dramas and this one looks promising.

Sparklefizz Sun 28-Aug-22 20:34:10

This is looking good, (adverts on at the mo) and I'm loving the music.

Various familiar faces.

Miss Millicent from CTM, John Stape from Corrie, and was that Rana from Corrie also?

Calendargirl Sun 28-Aug-22 21:42:08

Uh oh, I’d already worked it out!

Smileless2012 Sun 28-Aug-22 21:43:34

I said it just before he did; does that count?

Calendargirl Sun 28-Aug-22 21:45:43

I had guessed some time ago Smileless.

Bea65 Sun 28-Aug-22 21:48:02

Me2 .. still very watchable!

Calendargirl Sun 28-Aug-22 21:50:35

Had guessed it was wifey as well.

Why do they always portray farming families as religious maniacs?

Smileless2012 Sun 28-Aug-22 21:51:27

Oh well, at least I worked it out. I'll have to do better next time grin.

I've no idea. Worrying ?

I do like Adrian Dunbar, very watchable.
Ooh, now he's singing ?

Kim19 Sun 28-Aug-22 22:17:38

Well, I enjoyed that and am ready for more

Juliet27 Sun 28-Aug-22 22:20:38

I really enjoyed that. Didn't realise he could sing....I felt quite emotional at the ending. I'm looking forward to the next one.

schnackie Sun 28-Aug-22 22:22:38

There has been so much c**p tv this summer - I really enjoyed this show, and unlike you Miss Marple's - I didn't figure it out til the end! Looking forward to the next episode.

Glorianny Sun 28-Aug-22 22:26:31

I worked it out, but still worth watching if only for AD.

BigBertha1 Sun 28-Aug-22 22:29:08

Enjoyed this but not the singing or the song.

merlotgran Sun 28-Aug-22 22:34:15

It was good and I also guessed who dunnit but not sure about the singing.

Charleygirl5 Sun 28-Aug-22 22:42:12

I did enjoy it but I would have preferred it if more had been shot in daylight. My impaired vision does not help when people do not switch on a light. I am looking forward to next Sunday.

There is a new crime drama on BBC1 tomorrow evening so in one week we are being spoiled and about time too.
