Yes, we all know it’s rubbish, but Corrie is an institution.

We need to have an active thread at all times.

Did anyone else wonder how Daniel managed to get in through the front door after Daisy had bolted it and put the chain on?

Maggiemaybe Thu 09-Mar-23 13:58:31

Good point, NotTooOld!

I also wondered about the disappearing flowers when Daisy and Justin had their row in the street. One minute it was at their feet and the next......

Re Abbie as a motor mechanic. If I remember right, she learned about while in prison.I can't remember how long she was in prison, but my DS1 became an apprentice motor mechanic on leaving school at 16 and it was all over a year before he was fully qualified and that included working in a garage on all types of vehicles. Also that garage of Kevin's is a complete joke. It always looks spotlessly clean, likewise the mechanics'overalls, not a spot of oil on them. They go to the Rovers or lunch break, all of them at once, then come back and work on cars after downing alcohol. The machinists in the factory do the same.

I did?

I thought William Roach (Ken) is starting to age noticeably, not surprising given his age.

I wonder what he thinks to these dire scripts when they are presented to him?

He must hark back to Corrie’s glory days and think…..

Grannynannywanny Fri 10-Mar-23 07:55:31

Daniel and Daisy come across as a most unconvincing and mismatched couple. I find this storyline the most frustrating and I’ll be glad when it’s over. Would anyone living in fear of a stalker sit in an empty house with the front and back doors unlocked? Then all the nonsense of her continuing to plaster herself across social media in the hope of scrounging freebies for the wedding although she knows he’s watching her every move.

Charleygirl5 Fri 10-Mar-23 09:28:32

The factory ladies are probably on minimum wages. Still, they appear to be able to visit Roy's Rolls frequently for breakfast and several coffees during the week and go out for the odd evening meal. Maybe I need lessons in managing my money but somehow I do not think so.

I also noticed the fellow come in through the latched front door.

vegansrock Fri 10-Mar-23 11:18:39

Yes I’m getting fed up with the Daisy and Daniel story. She is very attractive but other than that I can’t think why he wants to marry her. She seems obsessed with a dream wedding, whereas he isn’t remotely interested in that. It will all end in tears methinks.

NotTooOld Fri 10-Mar-23 11:43:25

Another thing - when Ken left Daisy alone in the house to go and meet Audrey, Amy came in. So where was Amy while the creepy stalker was in the house? I reckon she would have got rid of said stalker well before Daniel rode to the rescue.

The bit I don’t get it how Sarah and Michael plan to produce hundreds of t shirts when they don’t have a factory in which to produce these garments, do they plan to make them at night using the sewing skills of Beth? Or did I miss an episode where they suddenly own a factory🤔 I’m a few weeks behind being in Canada so maybe I missed that!

Rosina Fri 10-Mar-23 13:53:43

Llamedos13 good point - at one time they seemed to be planning to use the 'Underworld' factory; quite how I don't know, but now that Carla is on the case that won't happen. Unless the dreaded Stephen bumps her off too. How will Audrey cope when she discovers that her beloved son is a murderer? She has a heart condition..... Getting ahead of myself here. Let's wait for the implausible, impossible and unlikely to burst upon our screens in the coming weeks.

Calendargirl Fri 10-Mar-23 16:23:04

Well, surely Sarah and Michael’s ‘unique’ designs (hollow laughter) are going to be legitimately produced at the Underworld factory because Carla now (somehow) owns the designs, have forgotten how.

More LSD input by the dastardly Stephen still to come.

The stalking court case to soon happen.

😴

Rosina Fri 10-Mar-23 17:19:50

Yes - of course she does. (I'm not sure how either) I must have momentarily glazed over and missed that particular plot twist.

Maggiemaybe Fri 10-Mar-23 19:24:50

I was distracted the other day by Beth’s pendant in the shape of the letter C. What’s it stand for? Not Craigy, surely? How embarrassing would that be for a fully grown police officer? grin

Calendargirl Fri 10-Mar-23 20:31:31

Just realised who Beth reminds me of.

The poor man’s Cyndi Lauper.

Perhaps that’s what the ‘C’ stands for Maggie.

vegansrock Fri 10-Mar-23 21:19:53

What on earth was Beth wearing in tonight’s episode?

Calendargirl Fri 10-Mar-23 22:13:25

vegansrock

What on earth was Beth wearing in tonight’s episode?

Cyndi Lauper’s cast-offs.

NotTooOld Sat 11-Mar-23 17:00:15

I rather like Beth's choice of clothes. She's lost a lot of weight.

lemsip Sun 12-Mar-23 19:34:05

i like beth's mode of dress too.

vegansrock Mon 13-Mar-23 06:41:07

I think the costume department must love Gemma and Beth, who seem to be dressed by charity shop, their outfits seems to be any combination of
- leopard print
- sequins
- tulle
- super short and/or low cut
- neon bright
- gold / silver
- must be made of polyester, nylon, fake fur or leather

Calendargirl Mon 13-Mar-23 21:00:52

Tim is rapidly joining the queue of hopeless Corrie actors.

Same gormless expression and delivery of his lines.

Yet another daft storyline, should respect Faye’s wishes regarding her daughter.

Doodledog Mon 13-Mar-23 22:06:06

The little girl is very like Faye though. The scripts may be hopeless, but the casting is very good.

vegansrock Tue 14-Mar-23 06:33:35

Beth and the old flame ? What do we think? I always thought she and Kirky an unlikely couple. Have to confess to falling asleep in the last 15 minutes, so don’t know if there were any more developments.

Calendargirl Tue 14-Mar-23 06:50:54

I thought she looked very similar to Eliza, Stu’s granddaughter, and she delivered her lines in the same eager way.

Is it another sibling double act, as with Hope and Joseph?
