Yes, we all know it’s rubbish, but Corrie is an institution.

We need to have an active thread at all times.

He's a lovely person though. His aberration with that girl was out of character.

Waiting to see how the bad boy drug dealer gets Sarah into bed!

Wondering how come the body in the top box that Stephen threw in the pond has never been found as it was floating when he left it.

I don’t think he will have to try too hard!

Alcohol played a significant part in the Amy rape storyline, but I fear saying that invariably results in a backlash from those who seem to feel that that opinion cannot be aired. Paul is playing his part with such sensitivity - and what a monster his mother is. Just on the make all the time, wanting him to fund a holiday for her. Why isn't Billy, with presumably a decent salary as an Archdeacon, offering to pay Paul's debt and give him some peace? This could be with an agreement that Paul would reimburse him when he is able to work again. Probably he won't be working again if this grim storyline plays out, but Billy is unaware of this and just keeps making cheerful 'positive' comments to a man who is obviously in a state of stress.

What’s the betting Sarah is soon pregnant again.
When exactly did Michael get his designer qualifications?
The new doggie is sooo cute!!

Calendargirl Mon 10-Apr-23 22:03:48

Whose baby will it be?

Not that she sees much of little Harry. Either at the factory, or in the Rovers.

Mightn't they just disagree? Of course alcohol played a part, but no means no. That's not a backlash, it's just my opinion.

Damon does have a roguish charm, doesn't he? You could almost forget he's a murderous drug-dealer grin. I wonder what was on the paper that will get him off? I agree about Sarah probably being pregnant. In Soapland every 'dalliance' results in a baby, particularly when it's massively inconvenient.

I wonder if amy will be pregnant too!

bobbydog24 Tue 11-Apr-23 09:17:58

Stopped watching it, as I did with the other two soaps, when they started killing each other. If I want to watch murders I’ll stick to Vera, or Midsomer.

I wondered that, too. Same logic as Sarah. No illicit sex goes unpunished on the cobbles.

Ha ha like Traceyluv who was upstairs in her bedroom for most of her childhood. 🤣🤣

Damon didn’t have much persuading to do fid he? I also think Sarah will be pregnant again.

I find some of Archdeacon Billy’s comments very creepy and inappropriate. Last night to Paul “would you like to give my pipes a tinkle?” To which Paul replies with a sickly grin “maybe later.”

Finally, I cannot believe that in that one small street we have so many gay characters. Billy, Paul and Todd, Sean and his dentist who now is off the scene, Asher and Roy’s niece, the footballing son of the builder and nurse and prior to that we had a couple of girls who were stripped off down to their underwear in the back of a van. Can’t remember their names.

Jodieb Tue 11-Apr-23 16:09:27

In real life Primrose, "Billy" is dating the guy who is dating "Daisy"
Sorry, I forget his corrie name.

Aveline Tue 11-Apr-23 16:57:00

Daniel? Gosh. Punching above his weight.

Calendargirl Tue 11-Apr-23 18:27:12

I thought ‘Billy’ and ‘Daniel’ in real life had finished ages ago?

I must keep up. confused

Amy won’t be pregnant, she went for the morning after pill after her night with Aaron.

Clawdy Tue 11-Apr-23 21:18:17

There was a condom wrapper lying on the floor with Sarah and Damon's discarded clothes. So hopefully she won't be pregnant, don't want yet another never-seen toddler on the street.

Good. Oddly, it did cross my mind that their 'relationship' wasn't sending a good message about safe sex. We can gloss over the infidelity with a drug-pushing murderer for now. . .

Just read that Maureen Lipman is in a WestEnd play in May/ June , so no doubt she’ll be out of Corrie for a while soon. ( the play looks good , might have to get tickets)

Calendargirl Wed 12-Apr-23 07:16:51

Who has Damon murdered Doodledog?

Have I forgotten something?

(I rather like Damon).😍

(I know he’s a baddie, but….)

Kate1949 Wed 12-Apr-23 09:38:55

You have kept up Calendargirl. 'Billy' and 'Daniel' split up a while ago.

SueBdoo70 Wed 12-Apr-23 10:19:54

I know what you mean Calendargirl. He’s really bad, but some girls love a baddie ... now if I was a few years ( sorry decades ) younger ... it’s obvious Damon is not going anywhere soon. This is Corrie after all !

Calendargirl Wed 12-Apr-23 20:30:28

Tut tut Sarah!

Perhaps you shouldn’t be wearing a really short leather mini skirt and low cut top if you’re trying not to attract Damon’s attention……

hmm🤔

Calendargirl Wed 12-Apr-23 20:59:51

Has Michael given any thought as to where he and Glory will live if he moves to London, and how he will manage with childcare without his family to help?

No, thought not.

Clawdy Wed 12-Apr-23 22:49:26

And why is Billy so willingly being drawn into crime, yet another silly storyline.

maddyone Wed 12-Apr-23 23:32:04

So who was at the door? Was it Stephen?

Aveline Thu 13-Apr-23 06:12:24

I bet it was Stephen. Rufus will be found floating in the pool and Michael will get the blame. However, there's a possibility that Paul saw it.
