Otto film starring Tom Hanks

I’m going to try to find the time to watch the original so I can compare them.

We watched it on Channel 4 on Saturday evening and enjoyed it .

Loved the book, and for once, the film was as good as the book. Have seen the film twice !

Is this the same as the one previewed on the tv this Sunday? .I think it was A Man CalledOtto. It was really enjoyable.

It is. I’d seen the Scandi version and thought I’d make a point of sitting down and watching it. I remembered there being a thread about it and wanted to re read what people had said when they saw it at the cinema. Was wary of recommending it as it does have content that could upset some people but, in general most people that have seen it liked it.

I'm reading his latest book just now. I can only hope that nobody decides to turn that into a sickly film. It's full of flashbacks, thought provoking statements and jokes as well as jeopardy. Frederik Backman is a very clever writer.
