Wow! Fantastic match Eubanks and Tsitsipas. At first I was cheering on Tsitsipas but - call me fickle - I changed allegiance because Eubanks has a twinkle about him and I didn't know of him before but found I really liked him (and the tennis was great!) A very exciting match.

I'm a silver tennis player, been playing all my life save breaks for babies 50 odd years ago. Now, as in most tennis clubs we over 50s play doubles. Same game, different disciplines.
So,Wimbledon comes around and the exciting doubles matches are generally swerved by the BBC. Why? It's such a shame when so many of us are doubles players. Hours are spent covering pointless wittering by the commentators most of whom we can ignore now that we've lost the one commentator/link presenter worth listening to (come back Sue Barker...PLEASE!)

The men's mixed doubles finals was always the most exciting match of all.

Yes, 5 Live is brilliant, I often have it on while I’m watching.
Similarly Test Match Special on R4.
And I’m not much of a sports fan, I just love the enthusiasm and bonhomie

Just watching Svitolina and Swiatek, Svitolina is just ahead at the moment but the game could be either.
Always comforting to know that the professionals always finish their point in just the same way as us- it’s either out or in the net and we’ve usually made a bog of it.😂
