Another puzzling storyline was that Peggy was going to leave The Lodge to Helen then changed her mind because Tony was upset so she changed her will in his favour. She then decided to sell it to pay her fees at The Laurels. 🤔 I never liked the way she used her money to manipulate her family and her standing in the village . I’m glad Alan stood up to her over the stained glass window.
Ive+missed the last few weeks and just found out Peggy died, how much money has she left to her family, never understood why she paid care home fees for Chris. Tom made a mistake marrying Natasha, still think he will end up with Kirsty. Helen is a nighmare, hope Rex doesn't end up with her. Rochelle a mess due to Joy treating her daughter so badly. None of the women are much good except Tracy and that is saying something but i still keep listening.
Peggy appears to have left a small amount (under £300) to each of her family members. Tom, like the rest of us, is wondering what happened to the rest.
I don’t understand how Peggy was so rich in the first place. She sold the Bull and Jack Woolley left her The Lodge and enough to live on but why does everyone assume she has millions stashed away. What have I missed?
Yes, still in there, rarely miss an episode. Book marking. Recently been interested in the Rochelle storyline, arrival of Malik family, and of course the drama of The Will. Poor Clarrie....time for Freddie to find The One, what will happen when George gets out...
I hadn't heard of it - it was excellent to have it on and perhaps someone repeating the story in the village a couple of times would help. Sometimes "issues" are a bit clumsily dealt with but this was spot on. We've also had online safety for teenagers and again, dealt with quite well.
I really wanted Falon to set up at the charging station. What had happened to her policeman husband (in real life) that takes him out of the script for so long? Does anyone know?
"Yes, James Cartwright has left his role as Harrison "PC Burns" in The Archers. He is currently working on other acting projects, including a role in Coronation Street, Metro.co.uk says. While his departure from The Archers is not permanent he has been working on other projects, Metro.co.uk reports.
That pre-school/nursery is being rather heavy handed of their perceptions of Martha’s concentration span. Preparing for Reception should cover a range of activities and getting a four year to concentrate is part of this. Am I alone in feeling this is OTT? And Helen’s date! We seem to have Script Writers for just a week and the next week new topics appear!
A plot device to trigger Alice's worries and a promise from Lillian to stay around? I thought maybe its as simple as Martha can always get 1 2 1 attention from adults and not used to getting on with things without it, but cant get what she is used to from a busy teacher. I hope she shares her worries with Chris, tho.
