Confession ….. I have never watched more than a few minutes of this prog but this time around I plan to because Fred Sirieix, Grace Dent and Nigel Farage are in it which should be interesting.

Josie doesn't want to do the trials but pretends, hoping someone will step up... hope she doesn't win, I don't want sam to win either

lemsip Fri 08-Dec-23 21:59:08

why do they all stink when there's water to wash.

Agree 100%

Why Marvin?? I was hoping Josie would go.

Joseann Fri 08-Dec-23 22:22:22

Noooooo Marvin!
They needed him to be in the cyclone too.

rafichagran Fri 08-Dec-23 22:23:17

I was hoping it was Josie.

monk08 Fri 08-Dec-23 22:46:48

Another hoping it would be Josie.

henetha Fri 08-Dec-23 23:23:31

I'm wondering how Nigel will cope with the cyclone with all his injuries.

merlotgran Fri 08-Dec-23 23:27:58

merlotgran

It looks like it’s being set up for Sam to win - departing celebs are selling him well but often somebody comes from behind and grabs the crown.
That could be Marvin.

Wrong again! 🤣🤣🤣

Namsnanny Fri 08-Dec-23 23:34:28

Well merlotgran who do you think will lose? That may turn your luck around grin

I'm getting sick of this being The Josie Show. Why does she have to give a running commentary every 5 minutes? We seem to spend much more time in the diary room with her than the others. I was really hoping she would go tonight, but can only keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow night.

I had to laugh when the girls were screaming as if they were in a horror film, then Nigel appeared, removed the spider and calmly walked away as if it was nothing. 😂

I think Josue should have gone, I know everyone expects Sam to win, his liking for jumping on people weird and annoying. I think Nigel looks ill, he did the trial although exhausted as Josie just doesn't want to do any of them, then she moaned about him, saying he shouted her down which I found very low of her...Put her on the next one , I've seen another side to her I don't care like. She's very friendly and thats it. I am shocked at the ignorance of a lot of them on mist things esoecually subjects they have very strong views about but no facts, I don't think they think.. I liked Marvin, Nigel, Nick and Tonys ok but thats it they seem nice people. Never forget that Nella what a nightmare who knew nothing but screamed.. Also two women who walked at the first hurdle, receiving the cash and the luxury hotel.

Well I want Josie to win. I loved her in Big Brother and I love her in I'm a Celeb....

OMG I found them meeting up with their love ones so emotional ......... Especially Marvin and Tony and their wives. I shed quite a few tears shock

Welcome to the real world Allsorts. Sadly many people nowadays, maybe have always, had plenty to say about everything but little knowledge about what they are speaking of. Gransnet is not representative of society at large.

Nigel asked Josie several times if she felt up to doing the trial. He explained that if she really didn’t then he would do it, then she said she didn’t feel up to it.

He was just out of earshot and she turned it around completely and said Nigel was desperate to do the trial and more or less pushed her out of it which was completely untrue.

Aveline Sat 09-Dec-23 10:20:06

Yes. Josie must go!! I must say I'm impressed by Nigel. He just gets on with things. He's looking a bit frail though.

Chestnut Sat 09-Dec-23 10:23:48

I've not been keen on Josie from the start, noticing the digs she makes at Nigel and other generally sneaky comments in the jungle telegraph. She said Nigel smells and she told Sam he smells, well surely they all do, but it's not a very nice thing to say especially behind their back. I also disliked the way she and Danielle were cackling like witches with Nella to get revenge on Fred, it wasn't nice. I hope she goes next.

maddyone Sat 09-Dec-23 10:35:57

I hope Josie goes next too.

Grannynannywanny Sat 09-Dec-23 10:39:16

If Josie thought she was the only one that didn’t smell then that was hit on the head last night when her friend commented a few times about her “stink”

It’s understandable there would be a smoky smell to their hair and clothes when they’re in close proximity to the campfire round the clock. But I wonder why they seem to all have a B.O problem when they have access to water/soap/shower/bath/deodorant. Perhaps they’re wearing the same unwashed clothes after washing themselves.

Chestnut Sat 09-Dec-23 11:02:50

Well I never understand how they could wash away all that gunge from the trials under a cold waterfall. They are often covered in stinking gunge and feathers, so I assumed there must be a secret showering area with hot water and soap for removing all that mess. And what was all that with the 'pretend' bath, as if they have to pump water every time someone wants a bath.

maddyone Sat 09-Dec-23 11:39:25

I agree Chestnut, I think there must be somewhere where they can shower properly after doing those trials because to not completely clean themselves after some trials would be a health risk. I also wondered about the clothes. They reappear in clean clothes so I think they are given clean clothes after those trials. They would never be able to cleanse those clothes properly either. We do see odd bits of clothing drying on a line, but clearly not enough for what they need.

Grannynannywanny Sat 09-Dec-23 12:06:10

I have my doubts about that being a cold waterfall. I suspect it’s more of a proper shower disguised to appear as if a rocky waterfall.

Chestnut Sat 09-Dec-23 12:08:56

I also don't understand how they can wash greasy pans in a cold pool of water and get them clean, then go for a dip in it.

Grannynannywanny Sat 09-Dec-23 12:22:02

I agree about the washing up Chestnut . I don’t think they’d allow them to wash the dishes, chopping board and utensils in cold water. Maybe I’m an old cynic but considering they’re chopping various types of raw meat on that board I don’t think a slosh in a pool of cold water is going to do the job. The tv company surely wouldn’t risk litigation if some of them ended up seriously ill due to poor hygiene.
