I watched one episode of this new show last night, I don’t know how I got to the end.

Edmonds come across as a vain, self centred, immature and arrogant.

How anyone could compare this to Clarksons farm is beyond me.

Has anyone else seen this show?

I used to work for someone that worked closely with him in tv. I knew he was a twat & wanted confirmation, the reply was he's an absolute f c. I've never really liked him & I'm sure he'll be devastated to hear that.

I thought he had retired in this country until I also saw the trailer. It was enough for me, I would prefer to watch paint dry.

He is 76 and it does not appear he needs the money so why not have a peaceful life?

Because he’s still full of ideas and has a we/I can do it attitude to life, which I love.
Give me him above those who think that life stops at retirement.
That’s one of the reasons he chose NZ.

Good answer.

So long as he doesn’t end up in Australia as so many Kiwis do.

Yes, I've met quite a few.
And some of our relatives are amongst them 😁

A poster said his propery has been lost ( flooding ?) This is awful to hear. I am unable to find any info about this . He must be devastated . If true it's awful . I know the property is by a river . I know he's a bit pompous and a silly Billy but this is awful to hear

I agree.
That’s two threads where posters are celebrate the continuing liveliness of older people.
That makes today a good day, even if the heat wave has so far ignored our corner of the UK.

Just found you tube info on Noel Edmunds land re the flooding . The beautiful wellness centre is destroyed by the river bursting it's banks. Terrible destruction for hundreds of miles to homes and farms

.

I'll go against the trend here and say that my husband, myself and our adult family all found it very interesting. It was good to see a NZ non-fiction programme and learn more about the country.

And we though that Noel, his wife and workers came over a little off-beat but sincere and fun.

He's invested alot of time and money in his project and obviously loves NZ - and we wish him well going forward.

I'm going to have highlights put in my hair.
It might perk me up 😁👩

There has been such terrible flooding there and in Australia.

Saw a clip on 'Gogglebox' that was more than enough for me! Sick of these smug so called celebrities who've got a shedload of money to waste, getting paid no doubt silly money they don't need and showing off their lifestyles none of us will ever get to experience!!!

I thought it was hilarious - a real life Alan Partridge! Total cringe and at times, very uncomfortable to watch! His wife looks a little uncomfortable at times……

I was at Goodwood revival a with my son a couple of years back and Noel was in the restaurant at the same time as us. My son couldn’t get over how young he looked because he had watched him as a youngster on tiz waz or whatever it was called. Anyway I wandered across to where he and his pals were sitting pretending I was looking for someone just to get a close up of him. And he didn’t look a lot older than when he was on the t.v.in the 70s! He’s had a very car crash of a personal life which will have caused some stress which is said to age you! It certainly hasn’t aged Mr Edmond!

Won’t be watching it as I really don’t like NE. I find him cringy and rather creepy. There’s just something about him that makes my flesh crawl.

Mollygo Sat 05-Jul-25 11:51:44

I don’t know NE, though he did once visit a school I taught at as a very new teacher, so I don’t know if he’s cringy or creepy.
I’m sorry about the damage caused to his place in NZ.
So many people in the area lost their homes and possessions and having money, though it makes it easier to recover, doesn’t make the trauma any less valid.

Noel Edmonds was excellent on the radio, as a kids presenter and on entertaument shows in the eighties and nineties. Then he went weird on Deal Or No Deal and it became unbearable as he started to call contestants disciples and pilgrims like he was running a cult.
