My father bought us a Tv in 1953 purely because my mum wanted to see the Coronation. So did I, and I loved it. I was 7 years old and I thought the Queen was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen! I loved Andy Pandy after that, then I suppose it was Crackerjack. Can’t think of any others at the moment but there must have been some.
Jason King, man in purple suits and cravats who is frequently sozzled on champagne or smoking a Sobranie cigarette manages to beat dangerous criminals every week. Peter Wyngarde was class in this.

Oh, Mr Ed! That brings back the memories - when I was just a toddler, my parents used to take me a walk to fields near us where there were two horses. One looked just like Mr Ed and apparently that's what I used to shout as soon as I saw it.
The Flintstones! My favourite cartoon of all time as a child.
The Flintstones were the modern Stone Age family. Residing in Bedrock, Fred Flintstone worked an unsatisfying quarry job, but returned home to lovely wife Wilma and eventually daughter Pebbles. Fred, a big fan of golf and bowling, also enjoyed bullying neighbor Barney Rubble, while Barney's saucy wife Betty was best friends with Wilma.
