In case anyone has followed this interesting documentary over the years, or is interested, the final programme will be ITV this Tuesday evening.

70 UP The Victorians was on ITV 1 on Tuesday. There is another programme on tonight at 7.30 on ITV 1 called 7 UP The story which gives many more details of the making of the series.

Thanks. Just watched it. Now going to watch the final episode. Crikey, this programme has made me so emotional. Got the tissues ready…

Loved watching this through the years. Initially didn't it say that they had 20 children? Yet there were only 11 in the final picture of them all. Counting the 2 that had sadly died, it appears that there were only 13 that took part regularly, can anyone remember who was missing?

Curlywhirly Charles Furneaux dropped out after 21 UP, provided an update at 70 plus a few photos, but wouldn’t appear on camera.

I hadn’t realised that Michael Apted had gone on to be a Hollywood director. I had assumed that Nick had been interviewed recently and was saddened to realise it was over two years ago; although he did live longer than the original prognosis. There is an extended utube documentary about Neil. He actually lived with Bruce for a while who found him quite a difficult house guest but, being Bruce ( what a dear man) wouldn’t dream of not allowing him to stay for as long as necessary.

Ah, thanks for that, I hadn't noticed that it was him that was missing from the final photo.
