Just a reminder that the revamped Strictly starts tonight, 7.25pm.

I’ve posted this as Sparklefizz, who always kicked Strictly off, is no longer here, sadly.

RIP Sparklefizz.

I agree Calendergirl OTT Shirley.

Is it me im not liking Emma's white shirt snd sparkly skirt combination ?

Loved Emma’s outfit. It really suited her and she’s such a pretty lady.

I loved it all!

Me too. It's just a piece of easy, fun TV for a Saturday night.

JenniRen Sun 18-Oct-26 12:20:34

I'd rather the judges didn't dress up at all.
It makes them look unprofessional.

A very good show last night with some amazing routines and dancing and a great deal of fun. I can't think who should leave tonight.
Still do not warm to Emma Willis, (Zoe Ball would have been so much better); now more confident she is trying to crack jokes, which fall flat. Josh Widdecombe is an irrelevance, but Johannes is replacing Claudia in a with his own weird style plus extensive knowledge and experience of dance.

Right person went after the dance off, but I liked Sarah.

Emma’s dress on the Results show looked a bit odd, seemed to hang strangely.

I think Josh should change his glasses, the ‘owlish’ look makes him look very young and schoolboyish.

A different pair might lend gravitas, and lead to him being taken more seriously as a presenter.

TillyTrotter Sun 18-Oct-26 20:28:55

Not a good year for a novice like Sarah as there are far too many competitors who are taking the baton of a new dance each week , and streaking away with it garnering high scores from the Judges and votes from the public.
I thought Sarah’s dress did her no favours (although it was true to the Shania Twain dress) and the dance was lack lustre compared to the 2 girls in the dance off with her.

Casdon Sun 18-Oct-26 22:03:26

It was the right decision I think, but I was sad to see Sarah go. The standard is very high this year, it’s going to be tough weeding out the slightly less good dancers going forward.

JenniRen Sun 18-Oct-26 22:50:35

I was sorry to see Sarah go. She is very competitive (47 World titles in sport!) and her dance was lovely but Bethany has dance experience and that showed, giving her the edge.

One thing I did enjoy on the Results show was the Dolly Parton tribute.

No idea who the singer was, but her ‘Jolene’ was very good.

Plus the lovely dance section with Amy and Kai was a perfect compliment.

They all did Dolly proud.

TillyTrotter Mon 19-Oct-26 13:03:34

Calendargirl The singer was Belles, a country singer, who recorded a duet with Dolly before (Dolly’s) death earlier this year.

Calendargirl Mon 19-Oct-26 13:14:56

Thanks Tilly

I heard the bit about her being the last to duet with Dolly, but missed her name.

Love Emma's dress is lovely and she looks beautiful without overdoing make up ect unlike those so called celebs on the red carpet the other night.
She could present solo such a professional

rafichagran Sat 24-Oct-26 19:28:32

I agree Emma looms stunning.

rafichagran Sat 24-Oct-26 19:29:02

Even looks

TillyTrotter Sat 24-Oct-26 19:35:04

It’s a tricky night for everyone and so far and no 1 dance has thrilled me. There’s still time.
PS Graham is very entertaining .

Millie22 Sat 24-Oct-26 19:49:23

Finally I agree Emma has a lovely dress on.

Mary59nana Sat 24-Oct-26 19:50:11

Graham is my coice to win the trophy 🏆

JenniRen Sat 24-Oct-26 20:00:38

Shirley just voted 6 for Lacey but 7 came up under Shirley's name. 🤔

Casdon Sat 24-Oct-26 20:08:21

Delta is so elegant, before she even moves, isn’t she?

Grandmabatty Sat 24-Oct-26 20:10:43

I think Shirley was very harsh to Lacey. Delta danced carefully. I thought Jaime and Laurence were undermarked

Mary59nana Sat 24-Oct-26 20:13:32

The judges are not voting on the dances but on their favourite personalities especially Shirley

Bit like us, the public, then.

Calendargirl Sat 24-Oct-26 20:25:01

I really like the way Johannes is dealing with being ‘upstairs’.

He’s definitely coming into his own, bringing his dance experience into it all.

I think that’s what was intended in the new line up.

Except I don't have a clue and they do.
