But, I dont want pompoms.

Moshulu. Bit expensive but I buy them on sale (buy everything on sale nowadays!) And at our age you have to be really careful about making sure the soles are non slip don't you?

I have been wearing these for some time now. I have been through most of the colours. They are comfortable and safe.

In an old house with tiny twisty staircases, I have always been careful. My slippers are felt 'loafer' style in a dark navy felt with a small motif embroidered on the front they have firm rubber soles. They have a nice warm fluffy lining, I bought mine in a supermarket in France but I have seen plenty of similar slippers in the UK

I too normally wear M and S slippers and have done for years, however when I went to buy new pair the other day they now don’t do the mule style I have bought for years. Not sure what I will be doing now. It’s a pain, why do they have to do that.

A couple of years back I stubbed my little toe, it got wrapped around the ottoman and ended up at right angles to my foot. It hurt a great deal, I hopped around a lot and said some very nasty words. I always wore slippers but that morning I hadn’t had time to put them on before disaster struck. Anyway, since that time I simply cannot wear slippers, a bit back to front but that is how it is. I have two brand new pairs waiting in the wardrobe for when (or if) I feel the need. Sorry, that was a very long winded way of saying have you tried going around the house in bare feet Kitty.

I wear Flyflot mule type sandals with a small wedge heel as flat ones make my knee hurt, poor old soul that I am. Good support and excellent price from an Outlet, very comfortable.

Ugg slippers are pricey but extremely comfortable and long lasting.

I never wear slippers. It’s bare feet all the way here, though I do need socks for warmth when the cold weather comes. They’ve made an appearance already this year. sad

I second Gaunt47, in suggesting Moshulu. Hard wearing, good rubber soles and lots of colours and patterns. I buy a new pair every year. My current ones are navy blue with coloured spots and a cats face with sticky up (velvet lined) ears! This might sound bonkers but I love them.

Moshulu also has lots of styles which don't involve cats faces ...
P.S. I am not on commission ??

Bare feet for me too for running around the house. I can't abide having hot feet, which is probably why they stick out from under the duvet all night too grin

I've had some Moshulu ones for ages but have never found them that comfy. I'd better get them out again.

I have Sheepskin slippers with hard soles which I can hang the washing out in! My DH gave me them for Christmas a couple of years ago. They are so warm and comfortable. I think they came from JL.

Sara65 Sat 07-Sep-19 20:02:47

Bare feet, or flip flops, haven’t owned slippers since childhood

Jane10 Sat 07-Sep-19 20:13:52

M&S fake Uggs for me in winter and slip on fatties in the summer.

Squiffy Sat 07-Sep-19 20:13:58

Pavers for us! Non slip soles, various styles - and reasonably priced!

I like these sheepskin mules from Costco. I love the real sheepskin on my bare feet, so warm. They also have a good tough sole, so ok for popping outside in. They are not as flat as some of my slippers, and I feel secure when walking in them. www.costco.co.uk/c/Kirkland-Signature-Womens-Shearling-Slipper-in-Chestnut-Size-4/p/243465C

This afternoon I ordered some new slippers. I've been wearing Sketchers Bob's slippers but they are wearing out and have holes in the inside now. I ordered these

annodomini Sat 07-Sep-19 21:11:44

I have loafers like these

but my current slippers are gold which is rapidly wearing off. I bought them in a sale two years ago and am going to need a new pair soon.
