CONGRATULATIONS DOLLIE you must be over the moon with such lovely news, hopefully the new baby will heal your heart somewhat. I can't wait for my ND to start a family, they are looking for a new house and once they move in they will start trying for a baby, so fingers and toes crossed

well ive ordered my wool and knitting needles to start knitting...ive not done any in a long time i thought id start with a cot blanket for starters then progress to booties and cardigan ....hope i an remember how to knit lol

I had a lovely evening with my b/dancing friends last night, one of the dancing teachers has started up a new club and we are going to meet up last Friday of every month, so that will be nice. Got in late so couldn't be bothered to 'fire-up' my Kindle, so started reading 'family estrangements' by Barbara LeBey, its very interesting, I didn't wont to put it down. The other book 'invisiable GP' I started getting a bit bored with after the first two letters to her GC, there seems to be countless letters about her everyday life, I started swipping through lots, on my Kindle, just quickly speed reading to catch a few of the more interesting bits but they just seem to go on and on, I'll get back to it after this new one now I've started it. What did others think of 'invisiable GP'?

We had lovely bran dance at local church! I kid you not the vicar a modern lady came and spoke to us all. Our folk dancing tutor was caller and one of our members was in band. A lovely evening all took plate food. And it was yummy! Managed do dancing but felt more breathless than ever. Guess still in stress and shock from results.

well im gobsmacked!!!! my older daughter who ive not seen in months turned up this afternoon with younger grandaughter ( i said id store some stuff for grandaughter) last time i saw daughter it wasnt very pleasant...so i bit my tongue and asked her to stay for a cuppa which she did and we had a pleasant chat and parted with a hug....hopefully this is the start of building bridges and we will keep in touch regularly...no i wont and cant forget the hurtful things she said to me but theres no point in bringing it all up again as i know i wont get an apology from her...i have to look forward now...

Dollie I do hope this is the start of a reconciliation for you. The very best thing you can do to keep this contact going, is to never even think about asking for an apology. You really need to put the hurtful things she may have said or done out of your mind for good.

She has come to see you which suggests she wants contact. Take that approach as positive for what is and be forgiving.

When someone feels hurt it is far too easy to make hurtful remarks back. If you "demand" an apology from her she will just feel your are putting her "in the wrong" again and that will just seem to her as yet more criticism from you. You will probably feel the same if she demands one from you. Stop thinking about who was to "blame". It takes two to start an argument and to keep it going.

Leave whatever problem caused this rift between you for now. If you just keep trying to build up some trust with each other and get a good relationship back, then you might, one day both feel you can trust each other enough to talk about what went wrong in the first place.
But that business can wait for now, just keep up the friendly contact.

Afternoon ladies. My week started of OK but took an enormous downward turn on Wednesday, culminating in a horrible telephone conversation with son in Aus on Thursday. It was so awful that hubby 'phoned him and asked him if he still wanted us to go and visit. We were so worried about it turning in to a complete disaster and damaging our rel. with him that we were prepared to fore go the trip.

Thank goodness that things have settled down . Skyped for 1.5 hours this afternoon and all the tension, stress and anger of the last few weeks and especially Thursday has gone; long may it continue' preferably for ever.

That explains my absence for a few days and what joy to come on here, catch up on every one's news and learn about your two pieces of wonderful news D0llie for your celebrations. Hope the knitting goes well. I tried knitting during both pregnancies but far from finding it relaxing it just stressed me out bec. I wasn't any good at it

How wonderful that your daughter just turned up out of the blue like that. I hope that your relationship can go from strength to strength, at least you are both now on the road to reconciliation. Every thing is crossed for you.

Good for you Yogagirl for contacting the police about all of your hate mail. Here's hoping that they can do something to stop it. Painting at my brother's going well but will be some time before it's finished, then I shall need some recovery time so it may be quite some time before I can get around to yours and*LibraChick*'s. We will of course have to discuss huge incentives ladies.

So sorry to hear about your altercation with your NS Smileless this horrid situation, snowballs and effects the whole family, no matter how carefully you tread. Well done on resolving it and keeping your holiday plans to see him in Oz.
The hatemail has now stopped, thank God, but I still hold my breath, even this morning, when I go into my emails! My ND started talking to our Laila's real Dad on FB, he then phoned her and she then sent a new picture of her to him, he was very emotional as it was the first pic he had every seen of her, he did tell ND that he had asked my D to make a go of things with him, so they could be a little family together, but I think nasty s.i.l was in the picture by then, so we now perphaps understand why s.i.l told us she had been talking to Laila's dad (we didn't know, still don't) and he said he knew the gym he went to and was going to get him shot!

Evening ladies. Hope you've all had a good day. More painting accomplished, all of the down stairs should be finished by the end of the week so we'll be half way there .

So pleased that you've not had any more hate mail Yogagirl do you think it's because the police have been round and had a word with them? Yes, it is good that we appear to have reached a peaceful resolution with NS. I think hubby asking him if he still wanted us to go out there must have made him realise how he was making us feel.

It's frightening how this situation does snowball and draws the whole family in. We just want to have some time to come to terms with what has happened and try and have some peace. Your belly dancing sounds like great fun , you'll have to get Celebgran to join you, it'll make a change from line dancing. What do you think Celebgran?

Well ladies, lunch time, back at work today . Had a lovely weekend, went for lunch to friends on Sunday and their GS and GD were there, so she kept saying to GD go and give Auntie Helen a cuddle, it was lovely, she is only 4 my own GD is 5 and very similar in size and manner. It was lovely [happy].

The weather was horrendous on the way down, it is much colder in the Midlands than it is here in Scotland…. Brrrr

The induction of our new minister was a great day and met lots of friends, lots of hugs and really good feelings, same on Sunday at Church.

Smileless, really pleased you got it sorted out with your Son in Oz, Skype is a great tool, I love it. It would have been awful to forego your trip. I can’t remember the address in Scarborough, but it was only one street from Scarborough beach.

Yogagirl, glad the hate mail is stopped (for now), good on you for getting the police involved, that might have helped. My sister used to do belly dancing, she loved it.

D0LLIE, so happy to hear your D visited with your GD. I can imagine it would be hard to forgive and forget. I think I would find it hard after everything my D has done, but I would smile and get on with it. I could forgive, but would never forget, but I would let sleeping dogs lie. Thus allowing me some time with her and great times with the GC, who I miss far too much. Maybe something to do with your ND being pregnant and doesn’t want her and her child to get “in” with you. So happy for both bits of joyous news for you.

Afternoon all from cold but bright frinton on sea!

I managed acquacise but my left eye still very sensitive to light and guess what sun been shining last couple days!

So glad you enjoyed weekend libra and lovely you were able enjoy seeing little one.

I had lovely bonus as My son called sat and asked if he could stay over Sunday as had meeting in Colchester. That was fantastic, even if had to try hastily de clutter his old room! Love his partner but was great see him alone for change!

The hypnotist was rubbish libra I felt anyway several volunteers but I was not convinced anyone was actually hypnotised, no one would keep quiet for him either! The band tricks trade were brilliant so we enjoyed!m I did quite bit dancing.
Was lovely if hectic weekend.

Meeting my friend shortly for afternoon tea! Then one whose partner left her for another woman, he is back now! Mmmm will have be tactful.

Smileless how is that painting coming on! So glad you had good skype with Aus son we are In Crazy position. I asked my lovley son how he felt daughter would react if I told her about My heart problem. He said well mum I know how any normal person would react. Quite!

morning all...awful weather here with gale winds..bins blown over and rubbish everywhere ..i was out there at 7am clearing it all up!!! ...i put the bins out the night before in case i dont get up early enough before the binmen turn up...torrential rain over night but none yet this morning...the weather report said to expect winds to reach up to 80 miles an hour later so i wont be going out anywhere thats for sure..oh the joys of living on the coast!! i do feel for those who keep getting flooded out.. hope the weathers better where you are...

knitting wool still hasnt turned up!!! getting fed up of waiting now...expecting a small table to be delivered today also my food shop...exciting or what lol....

I had a lovely day yesterday, out for lunch with 8 of my friends to celebrate my 21st b/day (ya right!) and then my niceD came over for tea and cake, after that I took my Yoga class, all ladies so very pleasant. Obviously no call or cards from my beloveds
The police didn't visit anyone but me (didn't think they would have done that) but I emailed those sending the hatemail and let them know I had made a police statement and that stopped them, thank God, I couldn't take anymore, I was afraid to go into my mail in the end. I've decided to go to my prev. m.i.l's 80th 'Do', it will show the nasties that I am still included in the family celebrations and they are not, so shows who the bad lot are.
Well off to the dreaded dentist, park first for my little Lilly, the wind is strong today, my bins went over too last night.

Evening ladies, hope you've all had a good day. Very windy here but not as bad as it was at lunch time. Made walking difficult this morning when we were walking in to it, but certainly helped us along when it got behind us .

How frustrating D0llie to have the knitting needles but no wool, sounds like you're raring to go.

Sounds like you used to live near to where my son is LibraChick, he's only a 5 minute walk from the beach. Lovely food in exchange for painting sounds like we could have a deal here.

Sounds like you've frightened the nasty's off Yogagirl, that's cowards for you. Hope your trip to the dentist went well. I hate going but turn up every 6 months any way.

You really are a busy bee Celebgran, keeping busy does help doesn't it. What with painting, walking, going to the gym and every thing else I'm exhausted. Aching legs this evening so hubby's gone to get a chinese take away and when we've eaten we're going to watch a film. of course, so a nice evening to look forward to.

Painted! How we things going,?

I got letter today from consultant today explaining about my heart muscle etc but on whole good prognosis we think, not got date for other scan yet.

I decided not to tell my daughter as feel lack of response will only add to my upset.

Weather atrocious here today. Rain wind and cold! Went to acquacise and swam 4 lengths afterwards then after doing hair launched straight into packing! And ironing!

Oh hoovered bless him and umpteen other jobs.

Went to funeral of very kind lady from friendship club my friend runs yesterday it was bit wobble for me as her 3 grandkids were there and one gave reading. Oh dear wonder if mine will mourn me of course they won't know me unless things change.
