Medium user. Not new, but only a few months in. As a newish granny, I joined Gransnet for granny stuff, but have found there isn't much of that around. Mostly just royal stuff and MM bashing. A bit of light racism and right-wing politics.

But despite that, for whatever reason, I keep coming back. Why?

I could post, the The Dead Hand triumvirate could ignore what I've posted and talk among themselves, then they truly would be a clique.

I do have to say, Maggiemaybe, I have never forgotten how you defended me, a long time ago when a poster was quite personal and nasty to me, a newbie! I was so naïve then and you were so kind!. Keep on posting!

Marydoll welcome on board, but we're no longer a triumvirate! Does that make us a quadruplet or something? At this rate it'll be HQ which closes the thread rather than any of our comments

The problem is that I was recently accused of being part of another clique. Does that give me a foot in every camp? ?

I found, what I thought was a great word for a group of four. Thank goodness I found out in time, that it has very risqué connotations! !

I have also derailed GN's this thread with my wittering on , so I'm quietly ?, making a hasty retreat!

Now I'm intrigued Marydoll I'm all for adding a bit of spice to the proceedings.

Marydoll I've been thinking about 'four' and 'quad' and like Sodapop can't come up with the word you're thinking of. My nice clean mind is obviously a drawback!

Sodapop I came across it by accident. I too am an innocent.
It means having a foursome, says she clutching her pearls.
I had never heard of it!
