Me neither! grin

It's been nigh on impossible to avoid comments and opinions in the media but I do agree that if Harry and Meghan have not colluded with the authors why aren't they suing the pants off them?

harrigran Fri 21-Aug-20 12:24:23

I don't think there is any danger of MM becoming President.
If I was MM I would be looking over my shoulder all the time, she is ruffling way too many feathers.

harrigran

No doubt that’s why she insisted on having so much security, paid for by Prince Charles.

Callistemon Fri 21-Aug-20 12:45:17

The point about MM is that she was an actress, a fairly mediocre one

I am beginning to think she is not so mediocre an actress.

How many of us were fooled?

Put Harry top of that list.

Why is Press going after H&M their house with however many bathrooms and not PA wanted by FBI for questioning.

Still getting paid security despite stepping down. What about the very many mansions the RF have that are tax payer funded and the 1 million driveway for Will and Kate.

M&H have left the RF

Ellianne Sat 22-Aug-20 08:02:48

Because H&M want the press to go after them Grany. It is precisely their way of gaining publicity.

Ellianne Sat 22-Aug-20 08:10:14

If anyone likes looking at houses, compare H & M's trashy mansion with the beautiful Italian villa owned by Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi's family. It might not be as huge, but it us sheer class and so tasteful. I know which I'd prefer.

Grany Sat 22-Aug-20 08:10:23

And why focusing on Alex Salmond TV programme when found not guilty and not on PA who is being protected by RF

We pay for RF 19 grand houses and round the clock security 52 weeks of the year which costs millions

I think Meghan speaking up about the American president DT don't vote for him is a good idea she has a voice

Grany Sat 22-Aug-20 08:24:10

I think the RF with their 19 homes round the clock security for them all costing millions. Secretive unaccountable corrupt

Spending public money as if it's their own with private jets helicopter rides for their own personal use.

Time this family were abolished give back what belongs to the state keep what's theirs

Open up the building for the public see inside, massive amount of tourism that would bring

Ellianne Sat 22-Aug-20 08:47:19

Open up the building for the public see inside, massive amount of tourism that would bring.
But surely there would be no interest nor tourism if these houses weren't owned and lived in by the RF. The two go hand in hand. You might get a few visitors like those who enjoy French chateaux, but hardly massive.

Grany Sat 22-Aug-20 08:57:55

They would come to see the art worth millions the historic palaces mansions nothing to do with the RM Vist Britain said there is no proof whatsoever that RF bring in tourists

Anniebach Sat 22-Aug-20 09:01:38

Buck House, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle are open to the public.

Ellianne Sat 22-Aug-20 09:23:20

Windsor Castle visitors 652,000
Buckingham Palace visitors 552,000

The Wallace Art Collection 422,000

Sparklefizz Sat 22-Aug-20 09:41:49

Grany What are the 19 homes please.

Anniebach Sat 22-Aug-20 09:52:57

Spsrkle The 19 homes don’t exist, Grany includes the private homes of the entire family

beverly10 Sat 22-Aug-20 09:55:33

Anniebach. I will wait for a Kindle, first reading a sample to see if its even worth 99p which most end up as .

Grany Sat 22-Aug-20 09:59:51

Sparklefizz

This video shows you all the homes which are state owned except for two.

beverly I have found Lady Colin Cambell’s book interesting.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8652443/Finding-Freedom-reveals-largesse-royal-couple-received-jets-luxury-hotel-stays.html

If Harry and Meghan thought 'Finding Freedom' was going to put them in a good light they've seriously misjudged the content.

No wonder Carolyn Durand is keeping her head down and Omid Scobie is starting to look like a rabbit caught in headlights.

I doubt they'll be asked to write a follow up. grin

Sparklefizz Sat 22-Aug-20 10:27:16

Ok Grany You say This video shows you all the homes which are state owned except for two.

So your earlier post suggested the RF owned all these 19 homes, but in actual fact, WE own them! Big difference.

Callistemon Sat 22-Aug-20 10:30:21

Oh dear.
Greedy. Their carbon footprint must be enormous.

And all the while telling the rest of us how to save the environment.

Callistemon Sat 22-Aug-20 10:31:09

That was in response to merlogran's post

maddyone Sat 22-Aug-20 10:38:08

Thanks for that link merlot.
It’s almost unbelievable the depths these two will sink to. Accepting all those freebies, many whilst still working royals. I thought, maybe I’m wrong, that working royals aren’t allowed to accept such gifts. I know they accept gifts given by countries whilst on official tours eg a cuddly koala bear when visiting Australia, but that’s very different from accepting free private jet journeys and free luxury hotel stays. It’s beyond belief!

maddyone Sat 22-Aug-20 10:39:49

Callistemon
Their carbon footprint must indeed be huge! And all the time this has been going on, they’ve had the audacity to lecture the rest of us on reducing our carbon footprint!

Grany Sat 22-Aug-20 10:39:57

Sparklefizz They don't own them they live in them as if it's their own the public money pays for their upkeep, around the clock security which is £100 million a year.

What does it mater if they own them or not they don't pay towards upkeep or security they live in them
