Who would you most liked to have seen but never did?

KittyLester we saw Kris Kristofferson eight or ten years ago and he was wonderful. We just happened to see he was appearing locally and thought ‘Why not?’

We had no great expectations but it was a fabulous evening. It was just him and his guitar, and his voice is more gravelly than ever after a life time of abusing it with drink and fags.

He imbued his songs both old and new with such emotion, we left the venue feeling uplifted.

Glen Campbell, Jim Croce, Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris.

Tina Turner, Tom Petty, Travelling Wilburys and Bob Dylan. Technically I was at the 1969 Isle of Wight festival so I have been at a Bob Dylan gig, I just wish I appreciated it more at the time.

The first gig I went to was the Dave Clark Five at the local Mecca ballroom. Also saw Long John Baldry ( I did get him tp sign an album but that was nicked at a party after I moved to London) and Manfred Mann.

I saw Bob Dylan at the Albert Hall in 1965. We were at the very top looking down on this tiny figure and thought he was wonderful. Same year I saw the Tamla Motown Revue at Finsbury Park Astoria.

I was still at school but worked in Woolies on Saturdays and also managed to get holiday cover so had some spending money.

After moving to London there were so many different music venues to go to and I saw many groups in their early days. I was a fan of Eric Clapton having seen him in The Yardbirds and managed to see Cream 3 or 4 times before they became really famous. I also saw the Stax Volt Revue twice - Otis Redding was excellent but some of the groups rushed through their hits at breakneck speed.

For those who like Bryan Ferry there are some recordings on You Tube of a concert in Lyon a few years ago which are worth looking at.

Sat on the front row at Nottingham Theatre watching Victoria Wood. The most amazing night. Absolutely brilliant. I do miss her.

Travelling Wilburys. Saw a tribute band two years ago. Oh Dear!

Spencer Davies Group - but it's really Steve Winwood. Did get to see him 10 years ago but it's the young Steve I idolised. He did sing some of the old songs. Can't believe he's same age as my DH.

We saw Pavarotti’s concert in Glasgow Grandmabatty. So glad we did, he was truly wonderful.
A Nicola Benedetti concert in Edinburgh, another wonderful night.

I have seen The Who, John Martyn, The Rolling Stones, Donovan and DD1 and I saw Michael Buble, what a crooner.

would like to have seen my grandad but he died two years before i was born.

One of my bil played with Manfred Mann - he left and they became successful.

Did manage to see James Taylor a couple of years ago, after wanting to see him for years. Also saw Billy Joel last year, his concert was amazing even though he's now in his 70s.

Music plays a great part in my life. I have Alexa in 3 rooms and have music on throughout the day. ???

Henetha - have seen Queen five times, mainly at Wembley Stadium - fantastic every time.

Have seen Nina Simone LauraNorder years ago at Ronnie Scott’s she was great.

I've seen Victoria Wood twice, I absolutely adore her.
I can't watch dinnerladies now as I find it so sad.
But, and it pains me to say it, she was awful live. I saw her once around 1987 and agian around 2002.
On both occasions she was far too quiet and spoke far too fast.
You couldn't hear what she was saying and you could tell that the audience felt embarrassed.

I would have loved to have seen Ella Fitzgerald - such a smooth and lovely voice. Frank Sinatra, Matt Monro, Argent, Thin Lizzy.

Only Bolan.
I was extremely lucky & saw them all from Beatles ( who were rubbish!) Stones etc. right through to Queen, Springsteen, Jackson, Bowie -on many occasions.
I was just born at right time in the right area.

The concert which was most memorable for me was Barbra Streisand with Marvin Hamlisch orchestra. The most disappointing was Bob Dylan, who I wish I had seen in the 60s not in the 00s. Eric Clapton is always brilliant and the Sones always good. Have seen many, many groups and solo artists but one I missed and would have liked to have seen is Johnny Cash.

I saw Roy Orbison kitty at Birmingham Town Hall when he was on a Beatles tour. I was only interested in the Beatles but looking back, Roy's voice was incredible. I love his songs now.

I saw Roy Orbison when he was top of the bill and The Beatles were 2nd.... probably on the same tour as the one you went to. I saw them at Tooting Granada in London on a coach trip with the youth club.

Elvis in Vegas would be top of my list.

I remember going to see "That's the Way it is" at the cinema and you almost felt you were part of the audience in Las Vegas.
The usherettes were walking up and down the rows with their torches trying to stop everyone from clapping and stamping along with the music!
