1000 words. Photos on GN.

They say a picture paints a thousand words and there have been some lovely photos on GN recently. I am a visual person and, especially at this time, pictures cheer me up. Autumn scenes, people's gardens, cake baking, craftwork, pets, clothes we fancy buying etc. Even stock images of Boris, royalty etc.
What is the general feeling? Are they superfluous or do they add another dimension? Are we "allowed" to just drop them into a non photographic thread?

The sculptural bridge in the middle of Seville

Did you mean my bird, jane2020? No it’s a young male kestrel.

Kate1949 Sat 07-Nov-20 18:46:58

I've walked under that bridge in Seville like Lisa. It's like a giant waffle smile

Kate1949 Sat 07-Nov-20 18:47:45

Don't know where 'like' came from !

As it’s Remembrance Day, a couple of photos from a very emotional visit to the National Memorial Arboretum a couple of years ago. An amazing place.

This post looks like it was added to the wrong thread Talk Guidelines.

littleflo
I think you have the wrong thread.
GN please remove this error from the happiest thread on the forum.

FannyCornforth Sun 08-Nov-20 10:45:15

Ellianne I've reported it and asked for it to be removed. It may take a while though.

Gorgeous thread btw.
I keep meaning to post a picture of my dog, but I'll have to go on my tablet to do so.

Thanks to Ellianne and everyone for your beautiful photos. Some very talented photographers on here flowers

I spent yesterday trying to scan an old photo to post but failed, will try later as it may be of interest.
My PC and scanner refused to speak to each other although they were the best of friends last week!

Ellianne Sun 08-Nov-20 10:50:03

Dog Fanny yes please.

lemongrove Sun 08-Nov-20 11:23:03

Callistemon

I don't because I'm usually driving grin

Haha!?

lemongrove Sun 08-Nov-20 11:25:23

Yes, dogs and cats ( all animals really)? although am enjoying all the nature pics and gardens as well.

FannyCornforth Sun 08-Nov-20 15:45:39

Here she is! This is Gracie. She is a far better model than I am a photographer.
She is six. Her mum is a bichon frise and her dad a Tibetan spaniel.
I've never attached a photo on GN - so I hope it works.
I'll try to avoid the old 'it didn't attach' double bluff!

DanniRae Sun 08-Nov-20 15:54:09

What a darling dog FC smile

Ellianne Sun 08-Nov-20 15:54:57

Gracie is cute Fanny. Does she always stay that clean?

Namsnanny Sun 08-Nov-20 16:26:26

Aren't these two adorable?

One of my favourite breeds FannyCornforth.smile

Although to be honest when it comes to dogs its very hard to choose between them

Namsnanny Sun 08-Nov-20 17:54:49

Two different types of bridge.

FannyCornforth Sun 08-Nov-20 18:39:18

Ellianne- yes! remarkably she is always that clean.
The Tibetan spaniel coat seems similar to that of a cat, it just seems to repel dirt.

FannyCornforth Sun 08-Nov-20 18:40:23

Aah Nam's - I don't know that breed, what are they?

Callistemon Sun 08-Nov-20 18:46:03

Fanny she is gorgeous!

Namsnanny Sun 08-Nov-20 19:06:20

They're a mix FannyC

You can see the Bichon Frise in her. She is so snowy white!

Ellianne Sun 08-Nov-20 19:09:04

Part shar pei?

Oopsminty Sun 08-Nov-20 19:09:19

Here's my beauty!

Ellianne Sun 08-Nov-20 21:16:28
