Sorry Good Morningers - my post should have been on soop’s kitchen thread.
I love reading all your morning greetings b.t.w. ?

GrandMattie We'd like some rain too. The odd shower is doing nothing for our clay soil.

Thank you for the flamingoes but I can't see them in everyone's comments. Just get little rectangles [confused).

Good morning everyone, I haven’t caught up with you all yet apart from seeing Ashcombe’s lovely photographs. Its grey again here today. DH just said he wished it would be a proper spring and although it isn’t cold I know what he means.

I had a surprise yesterday afternoon when my phone rang and I was asked if I could come and have my vaccine this afternoon! Slightly in shock I said yes and then she asked if my husband would be able to come too. I expect we’ll find out a bit more when we get there. I’m still slightly puzzled about it.

Good morning all from a bright chilly Lancashire. Nothing planned for today apart from housework, paperwork and exercises. Yesterday I managed to get up from the floor without assistance for the second day running. This is so heartening for me after my struggles with ill health and lockdown over the last few years. Next week sees many restrictions lifted, Mr. B and I are planning another trip out on Monday and may be able to visit one of my favourite small shops on the way home.

Hope today is kind to everyone.

Good Morning Mick and all from a sunny (odd fluffy cloud) Cornwall. Late rising as I woke up about 4x with pain from uneven mattress. It's definitely that causing my problems. Not sure whether to trust buying on line or go to a store. We have two in nearby town.

Finishing the edge around the rockery today. Cut nearly 100% of the grass yesterday. Planting runner and french beans seeds. They will wait in the polytunnel until we've had a new moon in May. My lovely dad swore by this (no more frost) and never lost any of his beans. Saw first hover fly this morning.

Sun is putting lots of power in to the batteries, so will probably do an hour or so of sawing wood for the log supplies.

I had planned to cut MrM's masses of hair, beard, eyebrows and ears today outside but he's decided to hang onto them to keep him warm. Must admit it is still chilly outside.

Kalu- same here with hair cuts but I think I will return to the hairdressers soon because I miss my layers. It is now a shoulder length bob.

Good luck with those buying anything wood related for jobs etc. We have a 4 week wait for more sleepers. Apparently, as well as house renovations etc, there's also a big increase in raised beds and other garden projects.

Off to read a few more pages/posts from here. So today my normally longish post will be lots of little baby postings.
Lots of ??????for everyone - I don't have a flamingo emoji

Gelisajams Sorry to read about the frost attacking your plants. My magnolia stellata was close to the polytunnel so I think that's why it survive the run of ground frosts we had. I keep a huge sheet of fleece by for my favourite azelea. I lost the buds 3 years running so decided enough was enough and bought a big roll of fleece two years ago. The fleece is still on today as another frost is due on Sunday night.

Enjoy your gardening. It's so uplifting, isn't it.?

muse the French swear by the departure of the ice Saints, May 11th this year apparently. PS cartoon thread, not funny! ?
Missing Marydoll this morning.

Grandmafrench Thank you for the tip about the soap. I read about it yesterday here. MrM only uses bars of soap so I will check it is suitable.

Lucky you with the rain. I'm sure we will get some soon.

My bag + card are ready for my shop at M+S for mainly food. I know I could have done this anyway but my nearest is 45 min drive away. I'm taking two days of work here in 3 weeks and whilst in Truro I'll be visiting my favourite craft shop which also has an amazing cafe. Mya is booked into the creche as MrM 'to do' list mustn't be interrupted.

EkwaNimitee Please take care. I hope the stress level is low these days. It is a worry when the medics can't put their finger on it. I have a yearly MRI for a 'mass' that was found 4 years ago. Tests showed nothing except (and this is good) that it is benign. Biopsy is difficult and risky. It doesn't cause me any problems so it is monitored for change in size.

Auntyflo We do notice when some are missing. Good to hear from you again. My knobbly fingers and toes are tightly crossed for you??

EllanVannin It must depend on the hospital I think. Our main hospital has started elective operations again. I know someone whose just had a knee replacement. I hope yours starts doing operations soon.

Thank you Jaxjacky.
I'm sure you'll get your own back.

PS I noticed you were looking for a long length swimsuit. I've just ordered one from Lands End.

hmm Nothing from Marydoll yet. She's usually posted by now.

Brook2704,
Rosemarkie has a lovely beach and a pretty waterfall in the woods nearby. My daughter lives on Black Isle and these are our two of our favourites walks - haven’t been able to visit since last November unfortunately.

Susan56 Sat 10-Apr-21 17:48:53

Just popped in to see if you had posted Mary.Relieved you are ok??

EllanVannin Sat 10-Apr-21 18:25:24

I too came back to see if there was any sign of Marydoll but thank goodness, there she is, having a rest I suspect. x
