Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry and chilly outside , but a grey start sky wise here in Brackley .
A quiet day for me housework etc , do some catch up as well .
Be nice if we had a small drop rain , which is very much needed .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from a dull and cold start to the day on the east coast of Fife. Thankfully we had a decent nights sleep cause the plumbers coming in at 8 to put a new boiler in. I’ve had to cancel my carer this morning and my lunch time support they’re not allowed into the house with another worker. Great fun will be had with my DH hope he remembers it’s my left arm first to get my top on and we’re going out for lunch today to the local driving range who have a lovely menu. All in all a busy morning

Have a good day everyone, virtual hugs all around, the world is opening up we’re heading towards . FREEDOMwink

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire, it was much chillier yesterday though.

I think those trees could be Wild Cherries Urmston. We have one next door and it is the bane of my life!

Not much planned for today. I am hoping the care home provider where my Mum was will call me back as they are very reluctant to pay the money they owe me.
Will also take Dexter, the Granddoggy, for a walk.

Have a good day everyone.

I’ve been looking on line Grandmabatty on a NT site at photos of blossom trees and wondering if it’s a blackthorn?
?

Urmstongran Mon 26-Apr-21 07:56:36

If it has a blackish bark and turns red in autumn, it could be the native wild Cherry or “bird Cherry”. I much prefer it to the showy pink ones

Thank you grandMattie (you too dragonfly). I will check out the bark later today!

I am very envious of your trip Beauregard. We have been to two Floriades and Keukenhof many times. We used to live a stones throw from the bulb fields. They are just coming into bloom now. End of April and beginning of May is the best time to go.

Definitely pink kitty I have that in my bathroom.

Urmstongran Mon 26-Apr-21 07:58:24

kitty I’d have both colours! Hot pink and navy go well together so one of each in there?

Morning all and once again we have a bitingly cold wind off the North Sea. Yesterday was so cold and after we walked the little pooch along the beach, we hunkered down indoors. It seemed like a very long day.

We are heading back to Essex today , so I hope it’s not too windy over the Orwell Bridge. We’ll give Pittcity a wave as we pass by her town .

Wishing you all an enjoyable day ???

Good morning from a bright NE.
DS and DIL had their vaccinations yesterday, they are in their 40s so the vaccination programme is working well here.
DD Skyped and we had a long chat during the afternoon.
DS and DIL skyped during the evening and I got to see GDs, my goodness they have grown.
Enjoy your trips out.

Good morning from a cold, overcast but dry Colchester.
I wrote a list over the weekend, so will be walking to several shops for non essential purchases. A couple of years ago this wouldn't have been worth mentioning but today it's quite exciting.

Much love to all x

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s cooler than it’s been for a while.

Yesterday’s picnic in the park was smashing, the lockdown baby turned one year old and was just delightful, the almost four year old has mastered her pedal bike and was having a marvellous time. They didn’t fit stabilisers, she used a balance bike for ages then went straight to the pedal bike. My heart was in my mouth as I watched her flying along but she had all the safety pads and helmet as her Mum reminded me. I wasn’t so nervous about falls when my own were children which was just as well as DS was forever coming a cropper.

Today I will be garden tidying and crocheting whilst listening to my audio book. I’ve just finished Hamnet and begun Hunter Biden’s autobiography.

No idea urms, can you take another from ground level later?

Wishing everyone a peaceful Monday.

Grammaretto Mon 26-Apr-21 08:08:12

Good Morning all from the Scottish Borders. It is raining!!
Just a bit of drizzle but definitely wet stuff and damp ground.
I had done a sort of rain dance because I left something outside which shouldn't get wet, saying to myself "It won't rain"
Sod's Law.
I have vax #2 this morning. I am hoping for no ill effects please. I am driving myself to the county hospital for the pfizer so I had better be alright.

Then I shall come home and rest grandMattie smile

Lovely cherry trees Urms I think they are called Gean but Cherry is nicer.
I hope Bogdon has a nice life when he leaves you Sheep

Beautiful peaceful swans Cornergran
Your happy time in the sunshine Marydoll sounds perfect. If only the weather could always be like that.

Greyduster Mon 26-Apr-21 08:08:15

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is out today but I am really wishing for rain for all our local farmers too and for the gardeners. We are having a quiet day today as I had a horrible attack of vertigo yesterday afternoon after we came back from watching GS play football, and felt rather poorly. I’m hoping it doesn’t come back; it was scary. DH gets his hair cut this morning, but apart from that there will be nothing exciting going on! Enjoy your day, whatever you’re all doing and take care.

amselerin Mon 26-Apr-21 08:10:19

Good morning Mick and all from chilly Lueneburg - 0° this morning. Maybe the sun will come out. Like many of you, we really need the rain. I knocked my coffee pot with the full filter still on top all over my kitchen unit, floor and clothes earlier. I think that means it is going to be an eventful week. Today I am sorting out my paperwork. I have to fill in 34 pages of a questionnaire. My granddaughter here wants to apply for the british nationality. I have been putting it off for a long time. So I have to get all the relevant data. Furthermore I have to bake a banana loaf as the bananas are past there best.
I am wishing all of you a happy and healthy week. Take care.

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Cool breeze and cloudy here in Suffolk so far.
Lovely day with an old school friend yesterday then CtM and LoD. Next Sunday’s episode such be exciting! Match of the Day wasn’t such a treat, seeing Wolves lose 4-0!
I think today should be housework rather than gardening as it’s getting a bit dusty in the corners. Then I shall make a start on DGD’s dress.
I’m going to buck the trend and say navy Kitty - with our DGC pink would always look dirty!
Well done to Bogdon - keep going lad and make the most of this week.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Morning Mick and all

Overcast here in S E Essex, I am off to the gym this morning and I will also pop into hairdressers to pick up a Disney Princess Hairbrush to put into GD birthday bag.

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday in middle sons garden, it was the first time we have seen him DiL and twin GSs in the flesh since before Christmas. They have turned DiL’s office/photographic studio into a bar/games room, they said it feels like going out when they walk to the end of the garden in the evening!!!

I need to go to John Lewis Urms but I haven’t plucked up the courage yet, I need to find my big girl pants

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Anniebach Mon 26-Apr-21 08:22:39

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

ginny Mon 26-Apr-21 08:26:01

Good morning.
Chilly and overcast here in N. Bucks.
Enjoyed the visit by DD1 and family and the later one with DD1 and family. Quite chilly in the evening but bundled up in coats and blankets.
DH is off to golf and I have a parcel to take to the PO. so will probably take myself on a short walk down by the church and meadows.
Wishing a ? for everyone today.

Grandmajean Mon 26-Apr-21 08:26:06

Good morning from sunny Cheshire. If my phone didn't say 0 degrees you would think it was a hot day !
Will go back and read posts when am better organised. Morrison's shop coming this morning.

grandmajet Mon 26-Apr-21 08:26:44

Morning from bright but still chilly Nottinghamshire. We have a bit for rain forecast in the next couple of days. ??
I was thinking navy too Kitty, but a nice French navy, not too dark. Maybe you’ll have to buy both and alternate.
Could it be May blossom on a blackthorn tree, urms?
Not much going on here today. DH is off walking with the ramblers - I’m a bit envious as two years ago I would be too! - so I’m home alone and intend to give the kitchen a much needed clean. DD2 may pop into our garden for a chat if work allows, otherwise a phone call from her.
To those drinking ?or shopping, enjoy the new freedom; everyone else, enjoy what you can and be kind to yourself.

brook2704 Mon 26-Apr-21 08:29:46

Good morning everyone from Inverness- well just south actually as I’m on the train right now! It’s a clean modern train and not busy so all’s fine. I’m staying on until London and then getting the train out to Cambridge
Oh no amselerin I bet the coffee made rather a mess! Hopefully your day will get better
I don’t know what the trees are urms but they look lovely!
Hope you’re ok after your second vaccine grammaretto take care
Well done to your DGD on her bike baubles sounds like a lovely day
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is kind and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Urmstongran Mon 26-Apr-21 08:34:09

Bet you’re fizzing with excitement brook hope you have a wonderful time visiting your family! I too love train journeys I fend them exciting and relaxing at the same time,

Nannytopsy Mon 26-Apr-21 08:40:41

We were in Cambridge yesterday Brook - a favourite place. By your next visit, maybe we can arrange an East Anglia meet up.

Nannagarra Mon 26-Apr-21 08:58:39

Good morning from Sefton where it is 13 degrees and another sunny day seems likely.
Am attempting to include a photo of thatched roof in Lancashire which caught my eye for its skill and humour. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Off to read your posts.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Alygran Mon 26-Apr-21 09:01:03

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s a little bit cloudy today and chilly again.
brooke what a long journey you have! Enjoy your trip.
Nothing much happening here, housework and a walk I think.
Have a good day. Stay safe.

Grandmafrench Mon 26-Apr-21 09:02:33

Good Morning everyone from a sun/cloudy/bit confused S of France ??

Successful trip yesterday where my DH reports ‘they’ couldn’t have been nicer whilst he had his 1st jab! Predictably the lunatic with the appalling voice who operates our Satnav directed us to the back gates of a football stadium. This then involved quite a long walk to find any sign (or sign of life) and the correct building, but the dogs loved it! Others eventually followed us - possibly with the same make of Satnav?) but DH was in and out very quickly. Slightly stiff arm today......we shall see ??.

On the subject of vaccinations, what an exceptional soul you must be, aggie. I’d not allow any deliberately un-vaccinated cleaning lady to think she could work in my house - I’d be getting someone who thought more about my welfare, I think. But maybe you’re less of a scaredy cat than me! ?

Good luck today, Grammaretto. Vertigo is Vile, Grey have you hurt your neck, or is it a middle ear thingy? Whatever, make sure you rest. Safe journeys, brook and gingster.
Enjoy a hopefully non-stressful time with Teddy Bear Dexter, dragonfly. Bet your late Mum’s Home would never be off your ‘phone if you owed them £s...........life’s funny that way.

Stay cheery, stay warm, but maybe all dance for long nights of rainfall? For the farmers, for the gardens, for the rivers and especially for sheep and beau. ??? daisy, dusty auntiefloand Panache

Have the best Monday, folks. Stay safe and, in case I forget tomorrow, big girl pants on and every good wish roses.

Hugs, ?‍♀️?☕️x
