I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

So much news! N&G, I am definitely going to suggest a family feast, though it probably won't be quite as big a celebration as yours! Lockdown prevented my 80th 'do', then birthdays and Christmas came fast and furious. DS1 turned 50 in April, GS1 will be 17 next week and his cousin, 16 in August. My twin great nephew and niece will be big two-year-olds next week and surely it was only yesterday that they were cute little babies. Talking of which...Willow is a lovely name for a sweet baby. Ted looks very chuffed, as he should be! Hellogirl, Hudson is growing so fast! He has a lovely smile and I'm sure he's just as cuddly as he looks.
Don't talk to me about dentist's bills! Scottish teeth, due, so they say, to soft water. I have a long history with different dentists. Crowns, bridges, extractions, fillings, root canals... Good thing my current dentist is so likeable. ?
Puzzler, what a gloriously colourful picture. When I moved here I was set on having a pretty cottage garden but my aspirations were washed away in flooding which also introduced some perennial weeds. Today, in M&S, I fell for a pretty patio rose - apricot colour - which is going to be planted in a large pot that 'fell into' my trolley hmm in Aldi on Monday. Lots of other pots need to be re-organised. So here I am writing about it instead of doing it!

Wonderful pictures of flowers and babies how lovely.Sounds like you had a great time N&G. I expect you need a good rest now but well worth it I’m sure.
Our last day in In sunny Cornwall, tomorrow we move back to Dorset for our last few days. It’s been a brilliant trip, places we have not visited for years.Feeling very lucky to be able too.
Have a good Wednesday evening lovely Kitcheners.

soop Wed 23-Jun-21 17:06:33

Is anyone having trouble posting messages? I have lost my last response and am feeling a tad miffed.

soop Wed 23-Jun-21 17:12:49

anno The rose will look perfect in the pot that happened to fall into your trolley. It was meant to be.

I completed just 15 minutes pedaling to nowhere. It seemed to be a waste of time. Yet, I needed to make the effort. The drop bot didn't approve. hmm

The internet connection continue to be a buggeration. I am hoping that, by tomorrow, I shall be able to join you in our kitchen without stressing over whether or not it will do as it should.

I continue to think of our dear friends the Panaches.

Farewell for today. smile moon

Gransnet...is there a problem with posting messages? Thank you.

Doodle Wed 23-Jun-21 17:16:34

Hi all. Will be back to catchup for myself later but just popping in now as I have received another message from our dear friend.

From Panache
Panache thinks that because of the uncaring attitude of the hospital they have been left pretty much to their own devices which has resulted in Panache being able to visit MrP every day for about 70 minutes and 4 hours each day at the weekend.
The Doctor is visiting today and Panache fears they will broach the subject of a nursing home again but for the moment they are making the most of the time they are able to spend together.
MrP has weakened considerably over the last two weeks but still manages to smile when he sees Panache. The nursing team love him.
Grandmafrench , Panache says thank you for the Macmillan Nurses phone number she has found them a great help.
As usual she sends her love to everyone and has her fingers crossed for more time and asks for extra prayers please.

I have sent her our love and best wishes for them both.

Grandmafrench Wed 23-Jun-21 17:47:36

Thank you so much for the news, Doodle. You've made me cry for Panache, but I think she knows we all want to hear how goes her dear man and how she is coping, bless her.

No Kitchen has prayed harder, Panache. Take care of yourself.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ??

Yiayia4 Wed 23-Jun-21 19:02:11

Thoughts and prayers Panache bless you both ???

gillgran Wed 23-Jun-21 19:51:34

Panache, very much in our thoughts, take care. flowers

gillgran Wed 23-Jun-21 19:56:09

Lovely photos, thank you soop, happy times ahead for you & your family.

Jaxjacky Wed 23-Jun-21 20:15:10

Doodle thank you again, much better as far as visiting goes, my thoughts, as always go to them with love and strength.
Willow and Ted, how beautiful is that picture Soop one to treasure always.
kitty I’m sorry there’s been no diagnosis yet, I’d sort of hoped for the endocarditis as my Dad had it and fully recovered, fingers crossed they find something that’s easily fixed and the IV antibiotics are doing their job. Yia your road trip continuous, thank you so much for the pictures, means we can vicariously share it!
Puzzler are they sweet Williams? I must put them on my list, the scent is adorable and a brilliant cut flower.
My lion cream has been applied, I’m hoping for good things.
I’ll leave you marvellous, stoic and warm kitcheners with these flowers in our garden, they cheer us and the bees.

Doodle Wed 23-Jun-21 20:40:40

Evening all. Thought you’d all like news of Panache so I posted as soon as I saw her message.
kitty I do hope there is better news of your brother soon.
soop such lovely photos. Is that really our little Teddy all grown up into big boy Ted now?
Hope the cream works Jaxjacky Thank you for the flowers. You too Puzzler and Nannytopsy
Grandmafrench yes it’s a long hard road the Panache’s are coping with.
Take care all.

Hellogirl1 Wed 23-Jun-21 20:45:16

Soop, what a lovely family photo, gorgeous baby, and handsome big brother.

Blossoming Wed 23-Jun-21 20:48:50

What a beautiful baby, and a lovely family, Soop. Doodle Thank you for the news of Panache, I’m glad she’s able to spend time with her DH. I’m off to bed as we have a busy day ahead tomorrow and I have run out of ‘spoons’. Goodnight all.

Puzzler61 Wed 23-Jun-21 21:28:58

Yes they are Sweet Williams Jax.
I think your flowers may be Gazania (African daisies) ? and while the bees are attracted to their beauty, Sweet Williams attract ear-wigs. ?

brook2704 Wed 23-Jun-21 21:37:30

Thank you Doodle for the update from Panache, sending all my love, strength and support
What beautiful family photos soop, you must be so proud of them all and thanks for sharing the pictures
They’re beautiful garden flowers Jaxj and puzzler the colours in both pictures are so vibrant and uplifting, so pretty
I’m back home now in Inverness after my trip away, it feels good to be back in my own bed and to have an early night. Being at DD1 house is so lovely but tiring! My journey home today was very strange, Luton airport was very quiet, I whizzed through security in less than 5 minutes and the terminal building looked very empty with just a handful of flights leaving. It suited me though as it was such an easy journey home
Take care everyone especially if out and about

Nannytopsy Wed 23-Jun-21 22:17:07

Dear Panache & Mr P are so much in my thoughts and prayers. So glad they are able to spend time together.

muse Wed 23-Jun-21 23:11:57

Beautiful family photo soop.

Thank you for the flowers Jax. Yours too Puzzler61 Such vivid colours.

Such sad news about the hospital Mr P is in. Pleased that Panache gets longer times to spend with him though. Fingers crossed for her??Thank you for passing on the message Doodle.

The building site has been a little chaotic today. Need plain sailing tomorrow please. I'm off early door to the building merchants get more drainage items and get a hose toot sweet. Dumper has sprung a leak.

Need to rest my weary bones. Night everyone. Take care ??

soop Thu 24-Jun-21 09:40:14

Good morning dear Kitcheners.

First message is the Pananches. Us lot have you close to our hearts. flowers

I am relieved to discover that the internet hasn't scuppered my intention to remain in touch with you all.

Fern is, as I type, eating a hearty breakfast. She has lost a lot of weight. I cannot help but feel concerned. Her presence has made my day.

Grandmabatty Thu 24-Jun-21 11:15:50

Good morning Soop. You are right about the Panaches. Our thoughts are with them. That is worrying about Fern. I'm having an achy day today so I will be gentle with myself.

soop Thu 24-Jun-21 11:30:26

Grandmabatty That is a sensible plan. smile

Okay! Just one more pic of Teddy and new-born baby sister Willow. I knew that you would not huff and puff too much. wink

Jaxjacky Thu 24-Jun-21 11:34:16

Just popped it, cracking picture soop ?
Might Fern have worms? I know little about such things.

Puzzler61 Thu 24-Jun-21 12:40:52

That photo of those little siblings has made my day soop.
Thank you for sharing.

I hope everyone has the best Thursday they can. ?

I have my head in the wardrobe to find a suitable outfit for a meal out this evening with friends. We will be celebrating 3 out of 4 of our Birthdays which have passed during Lockdown.
It’s a Big occasion and I’m looking forward to it ?

soop Thu 24-Jun-21 12:44:03

Jax If she has worms, we could try getting something to add to her food. She doesn't make regular visits. Every five days or so. Therefore it's not easy to be sure that she's receiving the appropriate dose. She is almost certainly half the size that she was when she first called on us.

soop Thu 24-Jun-21 12:45:37

Puzzler I share your excitement and anticipation. AThe perfect reason to dress up and enjoy good company.
