I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

My dear friends;

After what I can best describe as a very uplifting afternoon midweek with my dear man still in Hospital, there fore afterwards, sadly apart from greetings he slept most of the time.
I was fortunate enough to spend most of the weekend with him, when he started haemorhaging yet again on Sunday I decided to stay overnight.
The night nurse drew up a recliner chair allowing me to rest alongside his bed.
Whenever he called my name I was able to quickly respond, giving us both the desperate contact we needed.
Monday was a very long, difficult day,our Pastor came around 6pm and early evening my beloved slipped away.
After all the many hardships and difficulties experienced along the way,the care and compassion showed us in this place was admirable, second to none.

Our anguish is over and now I have a new kind of tomorrows to tread.
It has been gruelling, immensley painful at times, but I am so glad I was given the strength to see it through.
We squeezed even extra time.

Morning all,

Sorry to hear that sad news Brook, I don't think I knew the lady but sad times for her family.

Its going to be another quiet day here. I had an injection in my right hand yesterday as I have developed trigger finger which was beginning to be painful. I almost wish Id left it because today it REALLY hurts. So there will be no crochet or crafting for a few days. I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Not helped by a pending dental appointment on Friday. Thanks to the kind MrLester I am happy with my choice of new dentist , less thrilled about him actually doing any work. Its the first appointment in a series which will take me through to September so be prepared for some whining miserableness :-)

I hope everyone else is muddling along nicely - Happy Day all x

brook mentioned that grandmajets’s daughter had asked those in the Argy to raise a glass to her. You may know that we’ve been having a sing along for Jet every week.
Please feel free to come to the Argy Friday evening when we will be remembering our Argy pal.

Good morning dear kitcheners

Today I’m sorry to be the bearer of some very sad news.
Yesterday I received a message from grandmajets daughter to say she had sadly passed away on 11th June. Grandmajet was one of our regular posters who many of you will have come to know. She will be very sadly missed. On behalf of us all I’ve sent our deepest and heartfelt condolences to her daughter and family and our thoughts and prayers are with them all.

I have been superglued to the TV this evening watching Andy play tennis and the football. I know the person who inserted a partial hip replacement in Andy and she will be watching the match with her hands covering her face, that is if she is not there watching it as so many medics were I heard.

Now that Scotland is out of the match I have switched my allegiance to England so tomorrow it will be an easy supper so I can watch the early match.

Muse my exreceptionist used to live in Martok. Her name was Hilda Cook. She died many years ago.

Jaxjacky Mon 28-Jun-21 19:07:58

Izabella the days are confusing for me too, no one else in the kitchen thus far, I shall wipe my wet feet after a couple of storms and torrential rain.
Picked up a jig saw going free, for DH, not me, been to the library and bought a beautiful bunch of Sweet Williams from M&S.
GD has been awarded a certificate by the Young Writers Group? It will be published, so proud, as is her Mum, these young people are amazing, she’s 13. I’ll post a picture, but since my new phone, they post at the wrong angle?
Must go and sort my dinner! Love you and leave you, hope the soops are basking in sun.

Izabella Mon 28-Jun-21 12:47:24

Apologies. Just realized my clock says Monday. ?

Thinking about the Panaches

A tad discombobulated after trawling the Matlock thread, so will leave you all in peace on this dull voercast Sunday morning.

Peace and hopefully a chink of contentment for all

muse Sun 27-Jun-21 23:47:00

Thank you for messages about my DD.

We’ve a lovely first day despite the continuous rain outside. We stayed dry inside except for the walk with Mya and a tour of the new raised beds and the new build progress.

I’m catching up with a little GN news but got carried away with commenting about my home town, Matlock, on another thread.

Time for bed. Hoping for a drier day tomorrow.

Good Evening Kitchen Peeps

You are a star, dusty. Thank you so much. I can read what's on the bottle. I shall buy some and expect to look truly wonderful better. I'll let you know.

You made me laugh - what's that saying "I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure?" I think we should all be allowed to dither if we choose. What's the rush anyway?

Hope all is calm with everyone - a peaceful end to Sunday. You enjoyed your break, Yiayia? Bet you thought that holiday would never come. Many more need to be lined up.
Tomorrow must come with decent news for everyone and matching weather!

Nighty night all ? and love to the Panaches ??

Jaxjacky Sun 27-Jun-21 20:30:25

Yiayia4 thank you for all of your pictures and I’m pleased you’ve had a lovely tour. West Bay is a particular favourite and not that far from us, we’re off to Bridport for our Wedding Anniversary in November for two nights, then one in Poole, enjoy your hug!
We’ve had a quiet day with some rain, more now and sitting stuffed after a roast chicken dinner watching football. Weather here looks wet for the next couple of days, I think Mr&Mrssoop will have the best sunshine in Scotland, as they should.
Enjoy your evening all. I hope the panaches are doing as ok as they can x

I meant to send my sympathies to Susan and Henry’s Mum.
My older daughter did something very similar when she was about two and a half at playgroup. She bit her lip which looked horrendous and knocked a front tooth out of line and backwards. We managed to get her to our dentist the same day and he was absolutely marvellous, sat her on my lap and told her about the magic dust (gas) that would send her to sleep while he straightened the tooth. He said that the tooth would probably go black and look awful but it would make sure that her second teeth came in straight. Which is exactly what happened, I must ask sometime if she remembers anything about it.
She is far more likely to complain about her nose which is not as perfect as when she was born, having crashed into the gym wall when playing hockey during a rainy PE lesson. I very much doubt if anyone else could spot it.

dustyangel Sun 27-Jun-21 15:36:19

I hope these are readable, I was trying to show that it’s only a small bottle.
