Good morning all from a snow covered Glasgow and it’s still falling!

Not the best conditions to drive through Glasgow, Marydoll.
I know your journey well and hope the motorway is clear enough for a smooth journey, there and back. Good luck seeing your new consultant who will hopefully give you a clear picture of what’s going on. ?
I have a 1pm blow dry appointment, thankfully any commuters into the city have cleared our roads and all is quiet again for my very short journey.

Bon Voyage Urms you lucky besom. ??
Thinking of you GrannySomerset ?
Bed is the best place to be as you don’t sound well at all Baubles. Take it easy, look after yourself and hopefully you will begin to feel better. Coorie down for the day with daft dug snuggled beside you.

Washing done and hanging on the pulley is the extent of my business so far today.

Best wishes for a good day all and a brighter day for those with worries and sadness.

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
That’s a very sad tree Grammaretto! We were very impressed with ours and I did the pyromaniac thing in the garden when we took it out. They burn so brightly ?
Our old cat was very confused yesterday when he came home from the cattery but is much better today. Low blood sugar perhaps or dehydrated? He eats and drinks and awful lot at home.
?for Marydoll.
Must get moving - DGC overnight and then the pantomime tomorrow. We have been sorting stuff and their bedroom is a tip.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good Morning, it’s been snowing and sticking , hope it either stays crisp or disappears , I hate the slushy frozen slippy stage
Nothing to do today , the Christmas stuff is packed up , just needs a tall person to bung it in the store
Our local History Society had a great Zoom meeting last night on local artefacts found in the area , then a bit of chat after

Thoughts with GrannySomerset

I hope your journey to the Consultant goes well Marydoll , and he has the same empathy as your lovely last Doctor

Good morning Mick, Annie, and all. I have had a busy admin morning so far, but hope all is now settled.
Then found an email, saying that the stair lift engineer is ill, so now someone is coming on Monday.
Have had to sort appointments for future blood tests and lifts to and from hospital appointments. The phone has been red hot.
I am due a phone call from one of the oncology teams shortly, and it's annoying when you get an announced call from an unknown, but you have to answer the phone, ghen they just ring off.
As our little Dr's surgery seems to be being used for vaccinations, we now have to go into town to the Medical Centre for injections and blood tests. We are lucky to have the facility, but it is just one more annoyance at this time.
Well done ro Alizarin for getting her shelves put up. I used to love all that sort of DIY, but the nearest I have got lately is unscrewing the bottom of the toaster to retrieve all the burnt on bits of crumpets that were too fat really to go in.
Thinking of GrannySomerset and sending a gentle hug. Also thoughts to Harrigran as she sorts out paperwork.
Marydoll here's hoping that you and your new consultant have as good a relationship as the last one.
Our GP is retiring and we shall miss him. I saw him last night and said that I hadn't expected that, and when was he retiring? He looked at his watch, and said "in about 20 minutes".
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning Mick and everybody. At the moment it’s sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 4°C. Not much planned for today as I had a bad night due to an upset tum. I am now up and dressed but won’t be going out. The usual physio exercises and some cycling (indoors) later.

GrannySomerset thinking of you during this difficult time.

Safe journey Urmstongran you’ll soon be with the ????

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief.

A late good morning to all and wishing you a Happy Friday. The sun is shining in Oxfordshire, but its cold too. Pleased it's the end of my working week, despite it being only 4 days, I'm tired, with lots happening at the moment especially with my poorly DD. Treatment is starting next week fir her, so more batch cooking and baking for me to do over the weekend to help her.
I hope the sun shines for you all today. sunshine

Very late this morning I have GDS1 staying with me my days consist of morning walks board games and constantly cooking. 10 Yr old boys just never stop eating he told me last night that although he enjoyed take aways at the hospital he loved grandma's meals. DGS2 continues to make slow progress though he is fed up and wants to come home. The holiday period is over so hopefully full staff will speed up his rehabilitation. Thoughts are with all who have worries.

Hello, Mick and all, from snowy North Lanarkshire.

I'm having a second day of 'taking it easy', doctor's orders, as I am having more problems with my HBP which was diagnosed in November. Since then I've had two face to face consultations with my GP which I greatly appreciate, another one next week.

Online Mass yesterday and today, instead of my usual driving/stewarding/ Covid cleaning church routine. I felt bad having to cancel with the frail lady I drive to Mass most mornings, but I'm too dizzy to drive just now.

Safe journey, Urms!

So, sending love and prayers for all who need/ wish them, especially GrannySomerset, Marydoll, Baubles, Ginny,Harrigran, forgive me if I've missed you, thinking of all with illness, worries or sorrow , and those with poorly loved ones

Keep cosy, don't go out unless you have to. ???

Marydoll - Do you have a secret?I change my own watch batteries when I can get the back off to do it!! I have 2 cheap watches for everyday use but cannot get the backs off. Annoying as I have a card full of different size flat disc batteries.

Just thought I'd add that Urms flight is on time leaving Manch. at 16.30. So all well there. Expected arrival @ 20.25 Spanish time. I'll track it later, but promise I won't give a running commentary on the flight grin except to maybe mention that it's landed.

GrandmaDinosaur -
Hope you don’t mind my asking - are you a Diamond Resorts member?

Grandmadinosaur Fri 07-Jan-22 15:59:18

TiggyW no we’re not members. It came up on a secret deals website. Have you been? First time for us.

TiggyW Sat 08-Jan-22 15:03:23

Hi GrandmaDinosaur,
We’re Diamond Resorts members. Thurnham Hall is one of Diamond’s UK resorts. We’ve been a few times. It’s handy for walks along the Lancaster Canal, trips into Lancaster, Silverdale, Arnside and Carnforth. Also worth a visit - near Garstang if you don’t mind being indoors at the moment - The Flower Bowl leisure centre. Cinema, crazy golf, tenpin bowling, curling, golf simulator, restaurant. Have a nice break! ??
