A late Good Morning to you all after an uncomfortable night.
Haven’t read al the posts but Happy Birthday and travels to NannyJan.
Odd jobs to do this morning and Craft club this afternoon where I am leading the painting project.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Wild and wet today. It’s cold too.
Happy birthday Nannyjan
Some admin to do this morning and some sorting out of the spare room. DD2 is coming tomorrow for an overnight stay.
The man from the alarm company should be here too to replace the smoke alarm. It failed during the service in the summer and needs to be replaced.
Thinking of urms and mr urms
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I'm not a fan Mizuna . The roofman is due to inspect the roof at 9am so will no doubt call off.
Then yarn group and hopefully someone clever will help me to pick up dropped stitches.
Wishing NannyJan a very happy birthday.🍰🎂💗☀️
Sicily mmm.

What a nice surprise gMattie!!
It must be nice for them to know there's a friend nearby for their DD.

Poor Ash! It's so debilitating. Please get your hip seen.

Urms and WWM sending healing thoughts your way and to anyone else who needs them.

Kalu Wed 20-Sept-23 08:43:17

Good morning all from a very stormy Glasgow. The sun is out at the moment, lovely to see from the warmth of my bedroom full of sunshine for a while at least.

An appointment with the practice nurse for a bloods check later this morning then a visit from DH’s palliative care nurse this afternoon.

This is the latest family member, Millie. GDs lab puppy who is 6mths old and into everything.

Happy birthday Nannyjan. 🎂

Hoping a good/better day is ahead for all.

Taichinan Wed 20-Sept-23 08:48:50

Good morning all from an Angus coast with a very unsettled-looking sky. It's windy and wet with patches of blue sky. No snow though!
Firstly, I didn't catch up with gransnet posts until bedtime yesterday, but am sending love and best wishes to Urms and Himself. I hope the scan results are encouraging and the time waiting for them not too unbearable.
Happy 70th Nannyjan, and happy hols and safe travels too.
Another one here who definitely advises a doctor's visit and an x-ray of your hip Ash. I hope it eases soon.
My visit to the dentist didn't show up anything untoward on Monday. Today is the hygienist, who always does a very thorough job. Not looking forward to that! But it's worth it every three months and is probably why I've had no dental treatment for years now.
After that it's just a pottering and faffing day - there's always a pile of ironing of course, but I think my book might win over that #^lazygran^.
Have a good day everyone and may the aches and pains and illnesses just melt away x

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s wet and windy here. I’m going with my stepfather by taxi to his eye hospital appointment in the city today. He is 91 next week. I have bought a card and need to get thinking of what to wrap.

Morning from an extremely wet South Lanarkshire, I was going out with a neighbour for a coffee but she has just phoned to say to just come to her, it’s so wild. What, no cheese scone, I ungratefully thought!😂

I didn’t know about Urms’ DH’s scan and join in everyone’s thoughts and good wishes. They and Kalu and her DH are always in my prayers.

Grannygravy I gave my daughter who has everything, an ancestry test kit for her 50th and to her delight she found a bit of Scandinavian in her genes, which might explain my tall daughters from their tiny mum!

Best wishes to all for the day

Grandmadinosaur Wed 20-Sept-23 09:28:04

Good morning from a very wet East Yorkshire.

The last couple of days I really feel like my get up and go has deserted me so I’m having a quiet day today. DH will be back around teatime and I have a shopping delivery then too.

Happy Birthday NannyJan enjoy your holiday.

Happy Anniversary hulahoop and MrH

Blossoming Wed 20-Sept-23 09:35:28

Good morning Mick and all from cool cloudy Lancashire where it is currently 16°C and raining.

Today I will be getting the bathroom ready for tomorrow’s visit from the plumber. He hasn’t given us a time but will ring before he gets here. We have no appointments scheduled and MrB has been shopping today.

Thinking of all our ‘poorlies’ and those looking after loved ones.

Have a good day all whatever you’re doing 🌹

Gwenisgreat Wed 20-Sept-23 10:07:16

I take my chance to write this post on this wet, miserable day!
I had to call Virgin Media at 8am, to see if they can fix DH’s emails! I phoned them yesterday- I had great difficulty knowing what they were saying. DH hasn’t been able to get emails on his phone since there was an outage in June, I thought it was about time he had them. The technician gave him a new email address - he didn’t want, and a password only know to DH, me and all of VM. this took two hours!!!! I’ve been waiting for them to come back to sort it. I was fuming (and still am). And had great difficulty sleeping 💤 last night because of it. We have plans for today, but they will probably be cast aside while sorting out VM. They were supposed to be phoning us back, but after one and a half hours…………..! Am I the only person who has problems with VM? I’ve tried for years to get DH to change our supplier but he likes them!
On that grumpy note I’ll leave for the time being and Hope I have chance to read all the posts!
Have the best day possible folks
