kittylester loved that ⚽️🤣 and I’ve shared it already!
So…..what are we all up to on this beautiful sunny bank holiday? ☀️
Why do hospitals, most of whom have large catchment areas, make accessing them so difficult?

So much time taken up by football at the moment. I'm getting really fed up with it. I'm not interested in football but will be pleased if England win.

We watch and enjoy it, I’m pleased schools are embracing the competion, enthusing more youngsters to get out and exercise. It’s good business for a shops, hospitality and as Rekarie said it’s making (a lot of) people happy.
Over soon for those not happy 🙂
Although shops are closed early and trains have been cancelled!
Is this collective madness?

This might make you smile.
😂😂😂
I;m very glad to see that most of you aren't interested the game and that I'm not alone.
I remember the day when England won back in 1966 because my parents had dropped me off that morning at an hostel in Gower Street. I had left home. To while away the time I went to the tv room where some girls were watching the match. I don't remember the score.
I've always been grateful that my DH does not like sport.
I also remember back in the 80s a colleague's husband was sports mad. The Olympics were shown on tv. It was a different time zone so he would sit up all night. She put on some sexy underwear and paraded in front of him and he just ignored her.
Me as well. Sick sick sick of instant football
We VERY naively went to Gran Canaria a few days after the Euros had started thinking we’d escape it. How wrong were we. Evening entertainment was severely curtailed to allow 2 matches with all the preamble and postmortems shown each day on a huge screen on the main stage outside every day. 😭😭
Hate all of it
Just because it’s rather boring

Not interested in football, tennis or the Olympics. What joy this summer 😑
That’s two of us then.
... three.
What really irks me is that during the ever lengthening season of sport (whatever it might be - football, rugby, tennis, snooker, cricket, golf, darts, etc, etc, ad infinitum), the BBC , in its infinite wisdom, seems to think that every single licence payer is happy beyond rejoicing, to have their face rubbed not only in the above mentioned sports (and other, less prominent ‘sports’, eg skate boarding (soon to be an olympic event), but is also happy to endure the interminable pre and post “analysis” of the said events by “experts” (there’s a good saying about “experts”, but I’d better not say it here in case I get my knuckles rapped) so that any other scheduling can just go and whistle (putting it very politely), whilst these experts drone on. Well, in actual fact, believe it or not, there are a lot of tv viewers out there who really would like the opportunity to be able to watch other programmes on at least one of your multiple channels that has nothing whatsoever to do with anything remotely sport related, but is also not an old, frequently repeated programme (escape to the country, antiques roadshow, anyone?) or a soap, or a revolting “reality” show, or a cookery show. Choice would be a really good thing, but in programming these days choice (or at least decent choice) seems to have gone by the wayside - if you don’t like sport, soaps, reality drivel, home improvement shows, chat shows, antiques shows, cookery shows, move to the country/town/village shows, you’ve had it, really.
I turned the TV on one afternoon to find Football on one channel, Tennis on two channels and Racing on a fourth. So much for an afternoon with my feet up. Who are all these people who are at home to watch in the afternoon? most of us have programmes we regularly watch. Why isn't everyone else at work and catching up on I player?
Golf leaves me cold but playing, ‘spot the right wing leanings’ might liven it up a bit.
Give us a clue. 😂
Fed up with the over the top coverage. My dh says we still have the women’s Euro to come. I do hope he is wrong.
Me, but hope they will win all the same and DS is beside himself re the result so keep up with it.
Not remotely interested in any sport nowadays. Im sure it gives a lot of people pleasure but I could never see the point in sport and hated it as a kid. Used to be interested in ice dance back in the Torvil and Dean days. I hope England win but I wont be watching on sunday.
Not in the least bit interested in any sport but find football particularly thuggish
I watch sport constantly with my sky sports package. I will watch most sports except golf and football.
Football is played by vastly overpaid men who act like they’ve been shot when tackled, who spit on the pitch and try to bend the rules as much as possible. It’s a penalty ref!
Golf is boring and slow in my humble opinion.
Snooker has players who earn a lot too but at least they are honourable and call a foul on themselves.
The one sport that baffles me is the Tour de France and similar races. Why do cyclists get mile out in front and then proceed to go slow until the pack catches up?
So on Sunday I will watch the footie if the men’s final at Wimbledon has finished.
The only time I actually sat down and watched a football match was when it was a local team playing. The players were local men playing for their home town. That is how football should be. Modern football is a business, players are brought in from outside and many are foreigners.
On the other hand, it's good to have a national sport, which everyone can support. The trouble is, it takes priority over everything else. How many times do you switch on the news and the main subject is football?
I smiled when, at the end of his interview in today's Guardian, Gareth Southgate said that win or lose ' I know it's not going to change what the dog thinks when I walk in the door'.
Exactly.

I love that 😃
I bet the dog likes to chase a ball as well!
We are a football free zone. DH likes watching rugby, I’m not keen on watching any sport really. May watch diving and gymnastics in olympics occasionally dip in and out of that.

Are you going in the pool too, GrannyIvy?
Sorry!
I never watch football, tennis or any other sport on tv. Never go to live sport. Just not interested.
I’ve never been one to follow the crowd.
I switched on BBC tv news at 8 this morning, and the headline was about this football match that hasn’t even happened yet. I despair.
What football?
Best wishes to England 🏴
Why do people want to watch others playing sports of all kinds rather than actually doing it themselves?
Just as this football nonsense and Wimblebore is over there's going to be golf and then the Olympics. Och!!
