GrannyRose Are you the poster who said we should "Keep Calm and Carry On, who said that schools should have remained fully open and claimed children don't spread the disease, that the NHS should have carries on treating people as normal (despite not having the resources)", said elderly people should have continued receiving visitors and said Christmas shouldn't have been "cancelled"?
I don't think that that sounds exactly like my post although I do agree with many of its sentiments. My view is that this whole coronavirus nightmare has been an extreme over-reaction by government that will result in far more damage to our society than the virus itself. Loneliness can be a killer, as can delays in treatment for serious illnesses. It will take years for our children to recover from the disruption in their education and the severe anxiety that has been rife in the population. And don't even get me started on the damage to democracy caused by our willingness to live in a dictatorship for an entire year.
I could give a link to your post, but I don't think it's allowed.
There were 1,243 deaths recorded yesterday, many of which could have been avoided if people didn't hold views such as yours.
And, yes, that's deaths - not cases - I do know the difference. Covid-19 is a killer!
IMO your opinion that we have lived in a dictatorship for a year is ridiculous, as is your assertion that severe anxiety is "rife".
