Very helpful interview discussing the role of zinc, vitamin D and K2 in viral infections. Certainly worth setting aside 40 mins to watch. Dr Cohen advised all his patients 2,000 of them, to take

Dr Cohen advises all of his 2,000 patients to take vitamin D, 4,000 iu daily, and none of them have been hospitalised since the start of the pandemic. He also claims zinc taken at the start of a viral infection (50mg twice a day) often knocks the virus on the head. He recommends a zinc maintenance dose at 30mg daily. Vitamin D needs to be taken long term, even in summer. It’s also interesting to read the readers’ comments, some claiming not to have had colds for many years since taking vitamin D and zinc.

I only take things prescribed for me by my own doctors. If you read the video description you will see that Dr. Cohen, or is it Dr. Campbell, also recommends speaking to your own doctors first.

The trouble is, doctors are not guaranteed to know everything! A couple of years ago I asked a GP aged around 40 about the possibility of being prescribed Vitamin K2 as I’m on long term AdCal calcium and vitamin D. He had never heard of the existence of Vitamin K, or its crucial role in preventing calcification of the arteries by directing the calcium to the bones. Alarmingly, he seemed to be perfectly comfortable in his ignorance.

I worked for several doctors. Some were very clued up on vitamins etc but others had no interest in learning about them.

I quite like it if a Gp admits to not knowing enough about something. So long as they listen to me and check out the subject later on.
It must be difficult to keep up with all the new info.
