Hoping all are bearing up. Always feel a bit emotional but determined not to let it spoil anything for others. Out for anniversary meal tomorrow with the family, will be lunch because the GCs don’t do dinner very well, too late for them.
Sorry about your friend Smiles, shingles is horrible. And you are wise to say you will not make Xmas plans in future, is all too easy gif them to be scuppered, am just happy my lot are well this year. Last year was a bit tricky with some getting covid at Xmas.
@whiff and sparkly wish you could taste the cakes, those who have eaten it so far are digging into it with relish. Not sure there will be much left for those coming aft Xmas so need to bake again.
Sorry you are leaving Jaffa, but understand why, please do drop in in the new

Babs have a lovely meal with all the family . Special occasions you always notice when someone is missing . But they made their choice . Unfortunately we are the ones who suffer the consequences. But it makes those who love and care for us all the more precious. And shows we are not the ones at fault as we didn't choose this our children did .

But it's Christmas so everyone have a wonderful time and celebrate in our own way .

Babs gingerbread lumps delicious. The children do love the sugary stuff but they had fun with their nannie and that's what counts.

I think I said I made a video for the Brain Charity about what they helped me with and how I feel about going there and about my HPX. Had an email yesterday asking if they could send my story to be published in our local paper . But said no because of being estranged from my son . I sent him a copy of of my neurologists letter with my diagnosis had sent a text telling him it was coming and not to send it back unopened. This was 2 years ago and had silence .

As he doesn't want me to know about his life I don't want him to know about mine. I am no longer the mom he knew . If he hoped to destroy me he has failed as I am stronger in mind if not body than I was 4.5 years ago.

My video is on you tube the Brain Charity site . Didn't realise it would be on there but am proud of it . As I don't sound to black country and sounded intelligent 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Well as much as I can achieve.

Dear friends I wasn't going to come back to this thread due to the hateful troll messages. But I must just share my best Christmas present ever.
My youngest daughter had just received the results that her ovarian tumour was benign. I am so relieved and happy.
I met with my older daughter yesterday with the kids to take them to a show and out for pizza. She was remote but the kids were very sweet and cuddly with me and R. Plus I managed to walk up the hill to the theatre without using a stick.
Thank you all for being by my side,virtually, throughout last 6 months.

Afternoon everyone, it’s fallen to a hush here. Everything is bright but still.

I have my Christmas delivery around 2pm. Only one substitution - they are giving me profiteroles dessert instead of a trifle I ordered.

I know we each have our internal pain to deal with but please have a good and merry Christmas in spite of the circumstances.

Bridie, Sorry you're a bit down, perhaps it is a case of back to the old routine after the build up. Sometimes I just get tired of trying.
I have eaten far too much so won’t look at the scales for a fortnight, but looking forward to no cakes or chocolates as I have scoffed them. 2025 will be the year I regain my size 14. Unable to do my walking last year I put on weight. Also the start of being kind to myself and try to not over think everything it doesn't after anything
