I won't, for sure.
I don't see it reported anywhere. Are you sure?
FannyCornforth That has nothing to do with my 'laughing' post, you are just creating drama where there is none.
Obviously I wasn't laughing at anything to do with the virus or with people dying, I was laughing at Alegrias's post which popped up with no explanation.

I don’t disagree with Chestnut. I’m getting fed up with all the people the media are trotting out to tell their stories of the very sad things happening in their lives when the do was held. The media have invited people to get in touch with their stories in a mawkish attempt to stir things up. Yes the stories are all very sad but we don’t yet have all the details of what happened and I’m sure everyone here has experienced the disbelief that life is going on when our personal world has temporarily ceased to turn. I’m no supporter of Boris but he did not cause the deaths. I just wish people would stop saying this was going on when x was happening in my life when they knew nothing of it until a few days ago.
??????
Sorry that was supposed to reply to the comment above about a 30 mile lorry queue.
The hospitals or care homes wouldn’t have allowed them to see their relatives Fanny so they have nothing to reproach themselves for on that count.
Why would anyone reproach THEMSELVES?
Thanks Lemon and sorry to hear of the shattering experience you had.
Read Fanny’s post to which I replied MissA. I agree with you.

Boris and the others who attended the byob in the garden should be given a fixed price penalty for breaking covid rules.
I think personality disorder is a very strong term to use. I knew someone who had a personality disorder: not only did he have an adverse affect on the lives of people around him but he ended up taking his own life.

There are days when I wonder about this forum. There are days when I wonder if the people posting here are real people, or if they have some sort of personality disorder. Sociopathy, usually.
Today is one of those days.
Are you including yourself in that sweeping statement?

I googled it, because Im not knowledgeable kin this field.
Sorry - pressed send send too quickly.
Sociopathy: Antisocial personality disorder, sometimes called sociopathy, is a mental disorder in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others.
Seems pretty apt.
Kali2 Mrsdof doesn't blame Johnson for the demise of her mother to the virus- but about the, fact she could NOT be with her, hold her hand, and tell her to go in peace- because she obeyed the rules Johnson made
So you would rather there were no rules? I think a lot more people would have died if Boris hadn't made those rules. Anyway, Mrsdof's mother died in October 2020 and it's possible the rules were different in June to what they were in October.
Lastly, I'd like to sincerely apologise to Mrsdof if it appears you've been dragged into a spat where people have deliberately created a drama on your behalf. Not my choice I can assure you. And I certainly wasn't laughing at you or your post, but at another poster who does actually make me laugh. I send my deepest condolences at the loss of your mother ?
Well, now we know who Boris models his apologies on.
Mawkish? Really?
Nadine Dorries has just said on Sky News that she has had no complaints about the PM from her constituents. She did say ‘spoken’ but must surely have received emails from people. This from someone who took part in IACGMOOH when she should have been representing her constituents.
I do wish people would stop calling him 'Boris' like he is some cuddly friend of theirs.
He's not, he's an archetypical sociopath (see Alegrias definition 15.38)
He doesn't give a monkey's cuss about anyone except himself and you lot who are 'Borising' and defending him just look really silly. If you were in the same position he'd throw you under a bus without a moment's hesitation.

Calistemon And families who ventured outside their tower blocks to let their children go outside to kick a ball around actually live together.
The severe lockdown you describe started in March 2020 and these kinds of restrictions had been eased by May 2020 and I remember lots of people were out and about.
On 6th June there was a huge Black Lives Matter demonstration in London with many thousands of unmasked people. Do these all come from the same household? Should they all be arrested and charged?
Chestnut the rules on 20th May 2020 included:
Friends and family were not allowed to go into one another's homes or gardens and COVID 'support bubbles' for single parents and those who lived alone had not been introduced.
Social distancing meant couples and relatives who lived apart were not allowed to hug each other.
I have very good reason to remember it.
For those of us who abided by the rules it was a miserable time.
One would expect those who made the rules to abide by them too.
No, why should we?
For some strange reason, you expect those that are telling you what to do , to be following those same instructions so it's a real "us and them" situation.
I have to wonder just who those other people t the party were and why did they think that it was perfectly acceptable to hold a party in the first place.
Every one of them should be not only fined, but also have to go and apologise to at least one person that followed the rules and were unable to be with relatives in their last moments, attend funerals, get married or be left on their own after a difficult birth, plus all those that were unable to visit elderly relatives in homes.
Every single one of them should be hanging their heads in shame - though I doubt if they are.
Maybe it's time to bring back the village green stocks!

Are you happy to be called a sociopath, MaizieD?
Alegrias questioned if the people posting here are real people, or if they have some sort of personality disorder. Sociopathy, usually.
I presume she means all Gransnetters as she didn't say 'some' or 'a few' or mention Boris Johnson.
Some. I meant some.
But I was bl**dy angry and still am.

Yes I know.
My husband was in Critical Care with Covid Pneumonia at the back end of 2020 and he tells me that there were security guards outside the ward to stop extremely distressed relatives entering.
It is an extremely emotional issue for lots of people.
Goodness, what a strange assumption. If the cap doesn't fit I don't wear it. Why are people always ready to be offended? I expect we're going to have an anti Alegrias movement going now
