Is this just a handy collection of all the spurious lies and falsehoods and excuses in one place, just so we don't have to go hunting for them?

Lulubelle500 the vast majority of the British public won’t support liars whichever party they are from, and there are millions of Tory supporters who take that view regarding Johnson. Only the ostriches are supporting him now.

What worries me, is that if they had so many parties in lockdown, then how many per week do they usually have and when do they get any work done? Should not be having parties in Government properties anyway. Most private companies would not allow alcohol on the premises these days. Did anybody get breathalized on their way home or did they get taxis on expenses?

No. It wasn't just the lies

It's the parties which were against the rules which they devised. Parties held as we were (in the main) obeying their rules, as the police patrolled parks, stopped people out for their 'daily walk' sitting on a bench for a breather, fining people, threatening people who drove a mile to take a dog for a walk in the woods - it was all of that.
It was not holding the hand of a dying relative while they wh made the rules partied, drinking booze probably paid for by us.

Then, on top of all that, it was the cover ups and the lying about it. And the barely concealed sniggers.

Wasn't it Boris needed to go to the HoC to discuss Pettygate when the phone call was scheduled. Putin refused to reschedule. Boris should have kept his appointment with Putin. The Press would have had a field day. Our loss

Why is it so difficult for the pearl clutchers to understand that what concerns most people is having a serial liar, fabricator,truth stretcher, in short the most unfit person in charge of our country. We are not brain washed by the press and these views of Johnson are long held. I know I have been concerned about his position in politics ever since ~Teresa May sacked him from the ~Foreign Office and said he was not to be shown secret information . ~This is the man negotiating with other heads of state. His reputation is known world wide , so why should he be believed or trusted.

The parties are related to Ukraine - it is about integrity - how can any other world leader trust someone who lies and dodges responsibility and is disloyal to anyone he cannot use.

On Crown property you don’t need a licence to sell booze or consume it.

It’s not just distracting, it’s the whole point. Boris has proven himself a liar and to be completely untrustworthy. He’s lost the confidence of the country and many in his own party. How then, are we supposed to trust him with playing a part in defusing the situation between Ukraine and Russia ? How are other world leaders supposed to trust him, given that this mess is playing out very publicly far beyond the UK’s borders ? How do we trust a man with no integrity and Tory party who clearly have no respect for the man or his office, to come up with the tact and diplomacy required to defuse the situation ?

I really dont care to be honest. If they did then they should be fined like everyone else. No one should get their money back they broke the Law. Regardless of others that weren't caught which was a lot of people outside of Government. Including some of the people round where I live. Even if he resigns we will still have the same Government, he doesn't make the decisions all on his own.

Not about the parties. Not about the booze or the cake. It’s about what it says about the character and integrity (or lack of them) of the man in charge, and the lack of respect from members of his own party for him and his office. There are far more important things going on in the country, and the world, than partygate - as you rightly point out. But do you really think the Tories care about ordinary people ? Do you think they care about the rising cost of living, the imminent catastrophic rise in energy prices or the shameful prevalence of food banks in the 21 century in one of the richest countries in the world ? And if the shower in charge can’t even be trusted to follow the rules that they set and expected everyone else to follow, do you really think they can be trusted to do what’s right with everything else ?

Maybe not. But he’s the PM and the buck stops with him - and so far I haven’t seen him take responsibility for anything. All I’ve seen is a smirking apology, a vague promise to reform how Downing Street works, a repetition of the phrase ‘wait for the police report’ and totally irrelevant accusation about Jimmy Saville thrown at Keir Starmer.

The majority of people over 60 have an underlying health problem, but can expect to have a reasonable quality of life and life expectancy, sometimes with medical intervention.
