Sorry about that. I'm afraid that being a southerner I know little about Cheshire, or even Shropshire (newspaper article) apart from historically. It was many years before I even went north of Watford. However, you have proved my point that the two of them looked to be very happy together.

I don’t absolve husbands from blame but I have a low opinion of women that have affairs knowingly with married men.

I think Diana did a lot of good but she was certainly no saint.

Will Carling also behaved poorly in the relationship with the mother of his second child, I think if I remember rightly he ran off with his friends wife. I dont think he needed any help whatsoever, if it hadnt been diana it would have been someone else.
I dont think diana was perfect either.

Sorry Dinahmo, I obviously didn't express that well. I am agreeing with you.

There's all sorts of rubbish misinformation posted about Harry and Meghan but you got jumped on by some for something quite innocuous, I suspect because you were defending Meghan.

No, I think * Zoejory* and * Tickingbird* just wanted to clear up any confusion because there was actually a time where Meghan and Kate, not The Queen, were seen smiling together at Wimbledon. They were right to swiftly correct the mistake.

I read that one of the ex security officers has said she cheated first. It doesn’t matter anyway and I don’t blame her but I know some of her lovers were married men. She helped wreck Will Carling’s marriage and made numerous silent calls to Oliver Hoare, another married man she was having an affair with. I would have thought that she wouldn’t want to do the dirty on another woman after being on the receiving end of same.

Both she and KC were in adulterous relationships. Neither are exempt from hurting their children. Noted in "Spare", correct?

KC could fly over and apologise to his part in Harry's problems.

That I named the wrong venue is incidental to the fact that Meghan and the Queen looked very happy together. That was my point.

With regard to other comments about Charles and Diana both having affairs - I think that she could be excused. She was just 20 and he was 32 when they married.

The millions of photos taken during the engagement and the wedding show that she was, perhaps mistakenly, in the throes of a romantic love affair. He obviously wasn't although it looks as though he tried hard in the pix.

I recollect hearing rumours about Prince Philip having a love child when I first moved to London in the 60s. Remember how he used to walk around with his hands together behind his back? Apparently there was at least one young man who resembled him in that manner. Obviously this was in the days before social media so it was quite something to hear about.

Whilst googling the various affairs I came across a reference to The Crown (which I haven't watched). According to that Philip had an affair with Galina Ulanova a prima ballerina with the Bolshoi. That interested me because when I was a child in the 50s I saw a film of the Bolshoi Ballet with her and she struck me at the time as being rather old. She was 11 years older than Philip. When the film was made she would have been over 40 - rather old. Most retire around that age, apart from Fonteyn who was 19 years older than Nureyev. Their partnership was reckoned to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, but watching films of her now, she looks rather clunky, certainly compared with the prima ballerinas of today.

So strange, everyone knew Charles and Camilla’s affair lasted from their first meeting. Yet Diana’s father worked for the Queen, her grandmother for the Queen mother, the Spencers
holidayed at Balmoral, her eldest sister married Robert Fellows, her second sister dated Charles. The Queen is godmother to Charles Spencer yet No one knew of the passionate love affair.

Pre internet & mobile phones it was probably easier to keep secrets. Perhaps Charles' staff helped them. I don't believe that no one knew, at least his staff had to have known.

One of C&C’s safe houses was next door to a friend of mine. Everyone knew but no one said anything.

Well, the world knew very fast after the affair was revealed during the breakdown and rumours and innuendos had been flying around before that.

I am pretty sure everyone one knew, but like most families they all decided it was a private matter and they had no right to interfere - and quite right too.
