Prince Harry has sensationally accused Camilla of plotting to marry Charles, take the Crown and of leaking stories to the press in his bombshell memoir, MailOnline can reveal today.

In an extraordinary passage in his explosive autobiography, titled Spare, the Duke of Sussex writes: 'Shortly after our private meetings with her, she began to develop her long-term strategy, a campaign directed at marriage and with time, the Crown (with the blessing of our father, we supposed).

'News stories started appearing in all the newspapers about her conversations with Willy, stories which recounted lots of small details, none of which came from my brother, of course.'

Today the headlines are that Charles banned Meghan from going to Balmoral as the Queen became unwell. Who can blame him when the family's grief would have been fair game for the highest bidder. Although Harry has had a difficult time, what about the plusses of being a Prince? Unparalleled wealth, the best education in the world, adulation, people think that you are wonderful just for turning up? Time he started to count his vast amount of blessings.

Philippa I wish we had a like button for your post.

Kate couldn't go to Balmoral as it was the children's first day at school, so it wasn't appropriate that Meghan should go. The row caused H to be too late for the plane so he had to make his own way there. I believe the only ones there as the Queen died were Anne (who was already at Balmoral ) and Charles, who was in Scotland. She had already died before the others (William, Edward, Sophie & Andrew) got there.

Definitely agree about Camilla. A most distasteful affair.

Charles should have given up the monarchy and married her in the first place, but then we would not have H&W. So IDK. Ideally Charles should have been faithful to his pretty young wife, but he wasn't.

Its grotesque that Camilla was there at his wedding to Diana.

What about the influence of Kate? Is there no jealousy on her part? I remember when Harry and Meghan became engaged mos of the country appeared to be happy. He was popular because he seemed to be a likeable man and his popularity increased with the Invictus games. I remember seeing film of the Queen and Meghan sitting together at Wimbledon and the smiles on both their faces seemed to be genuine.

In case anyone's interested here's a link to a Buzz Feed article comparing tabloid reporting about the two women. eg Kate being praised for her knowledge of the meaning of the flowers used in her wedding bouquet (which included lily of the valley) and Meghan being attacked because the bridesmaids' flower crowns had similar flowers to her bouquet which also contained lily of the valley and other poisonous flowers.

I saw so may made spiteful comments about Meghan even before got married. I remember on another forum where she was touching her pregnancy bump and the comments were vicious. I don't believe they'd have stayed here that It would have stopped. It 's almost like they've decided that they're never going to stop the Royalist despising them, might as well give them something to talk about it. Apparently it was the same for Linda McCartney and Yoko Ono back in the day.

OnwardandUpward Sun 08-Jan-23 01:02:24

It's a nonsense story. Lily of the Valley were Queen Elizabeth's favourite flower and were in her wedding bouquet when she married Prince Phillip.

Everything else is just drama.

It wasn't Wimbledon Dinahmo, it was Cheshire.

You could regurgitate made up stories from Facebook, think photoshopped pictures of Harry prove him to be a liar, selectively quote from Harry's book to mkae him look bad or just make stuff up to suit yourself, but for goodness sake don't mistake Cheshire for Surrey.

I think the smiles between Meghan and The Queen were at the beginning when Meghan did her first solo engagement with the Queen to watch some children perform in Cheshire. Not Wimbledon. Wasn't it also where Meghan said the Queen shared her blanket with herbin the car?
Anyway, what that really shows is that at that point there were huge efforts on both sides to want to make things work.

Joseanne Sun 08-Jan-23 09:45:09

I don't see why everything has to be a competition with people taking sides to look for good versus bad all the time, eg in William v Harry or Meghan v Catherine.
There are times when we should look a bit more objectively at things and maybe tweek our biases.
I think I remarked, unusually for me, that after watching the Netflix docuseries I warmed to Meghan and actually understood some of what she was trying to say.

Joseanne Sun 08-Jan-23 09:49:56

eg. So, why is Dinahmo looking for jealousy on the part of Kate then? That's what I mean about side taking.

karmalady Sun 08-Jan-23 09:50:26

I wonder? if this could be manipulation of H by his wife, so that she can claim unreasonable behaviour and get an easy divorce plus half his wealth and the children, who could well be future cash generators for her

I wonder?

Maybe this is all the work of aliens who are planning an attack on the world and they think that by destabilising the British Royal Family the population of the world will be more easily conquered.

I mean it could be.

It's as believable as much of the nonsense spouted about the RF, let's face it!

eazybee Sun 08-Jan-23 10:25:28

Harry believes the press were responsible for his mother's death. Wrong. It was his mother's reliance on the press that was her downfall. Unbelievably, he is following the same route.

Franbern Sun 08-Jan-23 10:53:21

So if Diana had not died as she did (and become some sort of Saint in the processs). Could have been interesting. She had adultorous relationshiops whislt she was still married to Charles, and wold have undoubtedly coninued with other relationships. After all she died whilst with her latest lover.

Agree that she was used when she was young to become the unloved wife of the future King. My goodness, how dreadful - such an unknown thing for arrnged marriages not to be with love!!!!! At least she did have quite a few compensations.

www.scotsman.com/news/uk-news/royal-family-are-bloodsucking-alien-lizards-david-icke-2478194Mr Icke, 53, claims the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are shape-shifters who drink human blood to look like us.

And the father-of-three says a race of half-human, half-alien creatures has infiltrated all the world's key power positions.

Yes, I see what you're saying about arranged marriages, totally.

Even though they took their vows so publicly, the fact that Charles did not love her and was cheating with his ex must have hit Diana very hard. It means his word meant nothing. The fact that Camilla was at the wedding is totally dreadful. I'm sure on her wedding day Diana had thought she was a fairytale princess and was blissfully ignorant.

She was abominably used, yes. Yes she also had adulterous relationships as by then there was obviously no future with Charles and it is understandable to think she must have looked for comfort. I think it would be devastating to realise your marriage was a sham- and that you were so publicly used. I also see that it would be very hard for your kids to forgive the father for using the mother in this way.

She did have "compensations", but I don't know that clothes, holidays and jewlery are truly compensations for a broken heart or for that type of public shame of being replaced by an older and less pretty woman who was loved when she was rejected.

tickingbird Sun 08-Jan-23 11:54:18

I read that one of the ex security officers has said she cheated first. It doesn’t matter anyway and I don’t blame her but I know some of her lovers were married men. She helped wreck Will Carling’s marriage and made numerous silent calls to Oliver Hoare, another married man she was having an affair with. I would have thought that she wouldn’t want to do the dirty on another woman after being on the receiving end of same.
