When I was at primary school in the 1950’s. It was entirely white British. The first black people I saw were American GI’s from the airbase in our village. My own children made friends at school and I’d no idea they were black/brown until they came to tea. My grandchildren attend primary schools with children from so many backgrounds and seem oblivious to any difference, other than Bobby is the best footballer, Nate the fastest runner, Grace really good at numbers, Mary best footballer
I’d be horrified if my grandchildren were being encouraged to develop racist views

Maybe the NHS is on its knees because we have over 5 million more people in the UK than when the Tories came in.

The population increased by 4 million in the 13 years that Labour was in power. They managed to accommodate the increase...

I worked for the NHS when Tony Blair was in power. He was a great advocate of using private health care alongside the NHS.

We mustn't believe that things in the NHS were great then, they weren't. Take the 'no more than 4 hours' wait in A&E. Sure, that happened, but patients were just moved to another waiting area.

Also, the brilliant book/TV series, This is Going to Hurt, by ex doctor Adam Kay was all set in hospital under Labour. If you know of it you'll appreciate that life in the NHS was anything but easy. Stressed junior doctors, mistakes being made etc etc

The NHS has been crumbling for decades. It needs reform.

I find it truly shocking that some people have it in for Nigel Farage. He speaks for the silent majority in this country. He is not racist in any shape or form. He is the only one to tell the truth of what is really going on - the poisoning of our way of life, the indoctrination of our children, all the woke idealogy, killing our democracy and decency and he is the only one who has the guts to challenge it and put the British people first, whatever their creed or colour. It is an absolute disgrace that the establishment disparage him. He is not far right. People need to be educated. Well done Nigel !

But if he spoke for any kind of majority, silent or otherwise, he wouldn’t have failed to become an MP so many times. I hope he fails again next week.

A tiny part of me, however, would quite enjoy seeing him in the House of Commons, being obliged to explain where his funding both comes from and where it goes, being held accountable by the Standards Committee and, one hopes, voters of all stripes in his constituency.

So he claims to have destroyed the BNP by integrating them into his own parties.

I had a raft of election leaflets through the door today. One was from Reform - it had the candidate's name but absolutely no details about him at all. It did make me wonder what they don't want us to know.

I would say that may well be true of forums, as the loudest voices prevail and posters who comment constantly can lead you to falsely believe that’s how the whole country think.
The quiet voices are like the quiet voters and often confound the pollsters/ political pundits when it comes to referendums and elections.

Why is that most of you people who support the left are always so smug & correct? There is nothing wrong in the opinion that we have too many migrants (illegals) coming across from France. France is a safe country. We haven’t got the infrastructure to support the influx of people coming across the channel,They are probably some of the nicest people on the planet, but we have enough homeless of our own to contend with. I don’t think for one minute that Nigel Farage is anything like Hitler, he’s pragmatic, & says it has it is.
People on here need to watch other sources of news apart from the mainstream news outlets like the BBC

He's still claiming that we could return small boats at sea to France and that the Royal Marines could do it.

It such an appalling lie because it seems oh so very attractive to many despite the Royal Navy making it clear in 2021/2 it cannot be done under International Maritime law unless France agrees.
