I know there's a thread in Sport about the games but think this deserves it's own thread.

Algerian TW boxer Imane Khelif landed a huge right hand on the Italian female competitor, forcing her to quit after just 46 seconds into the bout.

WWM - did JK Rowling enter into the debate regarding this boxer? I don't recall hearing this - did anyone else?

I’ve no idea - but that is what I either heard on the news or read. Other names were mentioned besides JK Rowling.

Oh yes she certainly did. I attach just one of her many tweets about this.
She has very deep pockets and will certainly stand up to being sued.

Also check the likes and reposts. She's obviously well supported around the world.

J K Rowling is on X formerly Twitter. Brave woman with thousands of followers.

Yes, I did, JK Rowling was already debating on the subject and got a lot of stick for doing so, but credit to her, she wouldn't back down.

Yes she has been discussing womens spaces for years, she has been a vital support for women particularly in relation to domestic violence.

Imane Khelif considers herself a woman and rightly or wrongly the Olympic committee also thought she was a woman. If JK Rowling disagreed she should have taken her argument up with the Olympic Committee as they were the people who decide to let her box as a female. She should not have been very insulting to Imane Khelif.

I think you are missing many points here Jackiest. Why not read through all the posts.
