What shall we call our new kitten?

I know we helped nina (or not!) so I am hoping you can help us as we are stuck for a name for the kitten we are keeping. She was born in June

I will continue to try taking a photo of her but she is a short haired, dark tabby with white bib and wellies.

We have two other cats - an all black male born during the Rugby World Cup - his name is Kiwi.

The kitten's Mum was born in May and is, therefore, called Maisie.

Please help - inspiration has dried up in the Lester household.

Maisie's little Daisy?

Kitty
She's beautiful, and if she was mine, she'd be Tinkerbelle, or Tinx!

Oh kitty she's lovely. No wonder you can't part with her.

I had one just like her, called her Tabitha which got shortened to Tabby and her sister we called Kitten.

Jasmine perhaps.

She sounds like a Betsy to me.

I think you should call her Poppy

Actually, I like Scrabble as a kittens name. smile

I called my two cats the names of the daughters we never had Abbie and Cassie. We had two gorgeous sons instead.

What a pretty little kitten she is. My first thought was 'Cutie', . We had one with the same colouring and called her Tabitha shortened to Tabby, who gave us love for 14 years. Our present cat is Dusty, (short for Dusty-bin )as she was found dumped in a dustbin sack. She's now 19 and still going strong.

Female cats names we have had in the past are Prudence,Tabby(tabitha),Kim,Sasha, however the suggestion of Juniper sounded great!,she looks a lovely cat☺

Bit convoluted but ‘bear with’! Born in June, just read an article on June Brown, so how about Dot, after her Eastenders character? ( I know, I don’t understand the workings of my brain either!?

I got a new kitten a month ago, he's black, fluffy and has some white guard hairs throughout his body, He had various names before I brought him home but finished with Shadow and it suits him very well. My friend has a lovely cat called Mandu (Cat Mandu). My last cat was called Kedi, Turkish for cat. Do you think she is going to be a pretty or an aloof cat, names often just seem to suit a particular type.

I couldn't see whose thread this was and I was going to suggest 'Kitty' - then I clicked on the link and lo and behold grin
Tabitha Cat
(although we do know a human Tabitha - and some humans with some other of the suggested names!.)

We have an 18 year old cat who we named Willow Templeton Jones, Willow after a place we used to go when we were courting and just because it's a pretty name and Templeton after the greedy rat in Charlotte's Web because Will's loves his grub smile Unfortunately he's in the mid stages of renal failure and he's had at least one seizure that we are aware of so I doubt he will be with us for much longer. I don't think we could ever have another cat, we love willow so much and he's irreplaceable to us but I love the name KIPPERS

Juniper (or Juney Purr)
Yes - excellent suggestion!

baubles Sat 04-Aug-18 10:04:44

Jude?

baubles Sat 04-Aug-18 10:06:03

She’s adorable.

We usually go for surnames-Bailey,Mulligan,Caffrey, Bosley etc. although Tallulah was because she was obviously going to be a bit of a tart!
We are about to get 2 cats from local rescue centre so very interested in this thread.

Child in my class said she’d called her kitten Calico. When I asked her why, she said “Because she’s a Calico cat.” That was me put in my place if she’d only known. I’d never heard of the breed.

mindy. puss-puss. Kat. Pog. Mog. cupcake.

harrigran Sat 04-Aug-18 10:16:45

I am terrible for remembering names so if she was mine she would be Kitty, sounds about right when you have to shout down the garden "here Kitty, kitty".

Nannyme Sat 04-Aug-18 10:20:24

Millie

David1968 Sat 04-Aug-18 10:22:15

Tansy, Missy, Dilly, or Symi. (The latter is a Greek island where we holidayed prior to homing a cat). I'm a fan of names ending in "y" - easy for calling the cat inside.
