Why do some topics not move up the active thread?

Why are there two threads with the same name and the same poster?

Are there? What is it / they called?

I just tried that and it’s moved up!

Josianne I noticed that with your photo thread. It’s almost never in the List.
The same happened with my Royal Chat thread. That’s why I started the thread about this issue months ago.
It’s most frustrating. All the royal chat ended up going on in the annoyingly titled ‘Poor Baby’ thread instead

That’s it FC. Very strange some of the things on GN that aren’t explained.

No! It’s not there at all

It is discrimination then uncertain topics are given priority.

I reported this yesterday and sent the evidence but not A very satisfactory response from gransnet HQ

The 1000 words thread has completely disappeared. I think it was in 'chat' and it can't be seen there, not in 'active' nor in 'Im on'. I am going to keep it permanently open when I find it again.

Thanks so much for that Josianne, I access GN by using the active thread and I dont think I have ever seen that thread. But just had a nose and there are some great photos from Northumberland near where I was born, it was lovely to see them, I will look for that thread now.

I found it in 'last hour" eventually. Haven't got a photo to post for the moment, but will keep it open.

What did they say Shinamae? Their response to me was firstly to deny that it was happening, and then it became apparent that they didn’t really understand what I was on about; or that they didn’t know very much about the site’s structure

I'm tempted to try posting a photo of our guinea pig under the politics heading to see what happens!!

Instead of keeping them open, try "watching" threads. Works for me.

I also told them that at the same time as seeing that I posted on a thread and it did not go on trending at all. Their response was oh it’s a temporary glitch it seems to be working alright now but let us know if it happens again. It has happened before and I can’t be bothered reporting it again ?
