Would you wear dungarees?

My research mostly reveals blue denim. Think I'll wait in hope that brighter colours like emerald or red appear.

Definitely if they are comfy why not. There will be no builders bum (gardeners bum) issues.Very practical I think you can wear them at any age whatever your shape.

Yes! I used to wear canvas type dungarees with a pair of Kicker boots in the late 70's, and again in the early 80's when I bought a maternity pair. I also wore a cropped pair ( the same ones that Diana wore in the 80's ) a few years later, with a pair of wedged espadrilles.

Yes I feel I am now slim enough to wear them but only denim ones and I would need he right hair style to go with it.

I don't see what difference age makes! If you feel comfy in them wear them! I'm nearly 61, 5ft 1" with waist length hair, haven't worn make up for decades, don't follow fashion, but still wear brightly coloured clothes/shoes.

I don't know where you live but in the North and South of the UK,
plumbers do not wear white overalls. Painters and decorators do almost
always wear white overalls.
I've never ever seen a plumber in overalls unless it's a company uniform and then, they are usually navy blue.

I have a female plumber who wears a fuchsia pink boilersuit with her name in rhinestones on the back.

Sometimes I see people walking in front of me who , from the style of dress/ hair etc. appear to ne 45 or under. when I see their faces they are obviously a good 20 - 25 years older. It is always a bit of a shock & almost exaggerates age. It is an art to be able to dress to suit yourself & not to frighten the horses!

I'm on the look out for a pair for gardening, the only ones I've seen so far are white and not at all practical for the garden. Certainly wouldn't wear them for socialising etc as I'm way too short and a little round ?. But ladies, if you've got the figure for dungarees then go for it!

A few comments on here regarding plumbers in white dungarees some of which are quite contradictory; our plumber is on his way so I shall pay particular attention to his attire and update later!

For goodness' sake ladeez: wear what you like. My only rule is don't try to "do sexy" over the age of seventy. Keep your wrinkled cleavage under cover perleasse - but nowt wrong with dungarees.

I was once walking behind the petite Kate O'Mara and thought I was behind a 20 something from clothes, footwear , hair style. As she turned around it was a bit of a surprise to see it was a woman of significantly more years! Her tan & strong use of make up etc. drew attention to her face.

They are a bit like the dreaded onesie though, or a swimming costume, in that going to the loo means you have to undo your top straps and peel them down. That would annoy me now.
